Last year, the Southern Baptist Convention refused to ban female pastors for the second consecutive year, as only 60.74% voted for the then Mike Law Amendment.

In 2024, the same amendment failed, getting 61.45% when the convention was held in Indianapolis, where it will be held next year.

But this was a different voter pool than the last two years, as 6028 was the most ever recorded votes for, and 2026 is the fewest recorded votes against.

Turnout proved key to this success, and will have to be repeated in Indianapolis where the liberals garnered over 3000 votes against in 2024.

There is much work to do.
