I mean watch 30 minutes of Badlands and then watch 30 minutes of Jake Asman. One actually does the work before turning on the camera and has original thoughts and ideas that don't revolve around hyperbole. The other is all about hammering polarizing takes that can be clipped out to farm engagement. Every time Jake Asman tweets or says fire Aaron Glenn, it gets people talking and that's all he wants at the end of the day. Engagement is how you make it in the media world. But as a fan, I'd much rather consume the content that gives me something to think about than the content that just gives me something to react to.
