@_GirlSay The vast majority of men have zero sexual power with women. When we do have any power in that way with you all, it doesn't usually have much to do with being shirtless. The same isn't true in reverse.
@Oliveoiiilll Right, so #1 men can already go into women's restrooms #2 I've been in the bathroom once in my life when a fellow man was masturbating. It's uncomfortable and inappropriate but it's also the one time it happened. You can use bad one-offs to justify contempt for any group
The anti-trans sentiment is disturbingly misandrist in that only trans women are considered a problem. People complain about trans women as if trans men don't exist.
The Turkish couple across the street: husband, wife, a newborn babe. Husband works his ass off running a popular pizza parlor. Wife stays home taking care of the baby and home. She hangs pretty flowers from their front porch. Her sister visits regularly with her own child. On weekends, they all hang out on the front lawn, Mom, Mom's sister, Dad, the two babies. They're ordinary-looking people, but the most beautiful family on the whole street.
@SamSnieff We could create separate bathrooms for boys. As for men, if we're so dangerous, maybe we need special programs to protect the harmless ones from all the numerous violent ones. Maybe we need chaperones or cameras and police in our bathrooms.
@plot_twistttt Fair enough, but her reasons for dressing the way she wants do not impose limits on my reaction. I refuse to pretend I'm not a man just so you can live frivolously.
@inane_gimmick@seanorr Sorry -- I clicked to your profile out of curiosity after reading your reply, and I love that you're using this quote. I thought I was the only one who ever liked to use it.
@inane_gimmick Likewise, men...
There are bad apples who cause real harm. But to speak about either sex as if your next encounter is going to be a bloodbath is bigotry. I'm sorry, it just is. There's no excuse for speaking about a group of people this way.
As I've said to others, men are more dangerous to me, as a man, than they are to you. I've experienced exactly zero violence from men in my forty years on this earth. I've been afraid to step into a men's restroom exactly zero times. When did the public decide that bathrooms were akin to the killing fields?
