I think I made a good deal with my TV, Samsung S93F. I paid €999 and thanks to lowest price I got €50 refunded.
The new 2026 Samsung’s and LG's seem more expensive. The LG is €100 cheaper for its competing Samsung.
The new 2026 Samsung models:
S83 - €1599
S93 - €1999
I'm not even looking to the S95 version. But I didn't think it was worth over the S93 model. The top tier had 3 differences, the one box for cables, anti-reflection (which might be worth it) and better audio speakers. But if you buy a home theater it doesn't matter.
Same for the Q930F sound system. I paid €500 and the new 2026 version is €999.
I can't predict if next year the prices will be the same, but I'm going to follow it. So we learned that when you need a new TV, buying around July when the new models hit is the perfect time. I would never have paid €1999 for the S93 2026 model. So I think I got a great deal, and excellent TV for €949.
My previous Panasonic plasma was the same price. But that's without inflation. Back then it was also a fantastic deal, that plasma is still fantastic but a little outdated if you want all the latest tech.
Closing my DCA orders today as we are half way July. Everything has only gone up, except $NIGHT. That's a strange beast with a life of its own.
For the second half of July I will put down new orders at 10% lower.
Putting in the second half DCA orders already. We went up, to fill the old ones we need a bigger correcting. It's not science, you try to buy at the lowest price possible. After a year you could hold more tokens. In this case more is better.
I really hope crypto hit rock bottom this "cycle". If there's still a cycle left. After the worst years it's time to build again. The momentum is gone, normies lost interest, we have a lot of recovery to do.
Sony wants to stop selling psychical games on the next PlayStation.
If Microsoft's XBOX want to challenge PlayStation the door is wide open. I think the hardcore gamer still wants to own his games. XBOX could offer a disc drive, having physical games, and be backwards compatible with our old games. I can also imaging some parents not allowing their children to game online.
Also the price point becomes a problem. Current graphics look more than good enough for most people. XBOX could offer a high end console around €600-€1000 but also a cheap console with current graphics for €200-€300. I remember the Wii being a hype and ask why? The price was very affordable. Many bought a Wii due hype and barely played on it. Just my thoughts for the XBOX brand. I would be inclined to pay €300 or less for a new console with "normal" graphics. In my old days when gaming a lot I would buy the high end version. Now I just want to occasional game for a affordable price.
I'm still in doubt about my Q930f sound system. It's very clear, dialogue is easy to understand, the sound might be super accurate compared to my old Logitec Z-5300.
But yesterday I was watching The Legend of Vox Machina and the dragon roars sound good, but I don't feel it. With the Z-5300 it's like a dragon is in the room with you. Not even mentioning explosions.
Ok, I haven't used real surround source yet, maybe PC hardware is different, Z-5300 could be not accurate and too powerful or just be for gaming.
Doing some testing while writing. TV looks million times better than browser.
Q930f sound quality is much better. It doe come alive when turning the volume up. The Z-5300 is standard just much louder. The dragon roar and explosions does feel when louder. But you have to think about other people.
I remember watching Redline, a movie that has to be watched with surround and very loud, but you scare other people.
Typical, after placing new orders we go up. Still 100% success rate when it comes to this. As soon we adjust the order upwards it will crash down again.
DCA'ing the small bag for this month.
Topping up my Bitcoin savings account.
That seems all for this month. Crypto, the economy, everything, all in limbo going off the cliff.
If we lose all our money we finally can get social benefits. Every downside has an upside 👍
I don't blame those people anymore. In the EU working is for fools. The amount of taxes you pay is insane. The worst is the EU itself, they always need more money and you just tax more. They don't realize people have to work for money.
I don't even blame the rich. Yes they pay less % on their income but they make money from capital. When I invest in a start up the chances of losing 100% of my capital is very high. But when it pays off they want 30-50% of that? Hell no!
Rich people who make their wealth from capital take risks. Does that mean they shouldn't pay taxes? No, but it would be fair to tax a fix amount from a certain amount of income from capital. People who work contribute from their work income, so tax rich €50k because they also use our roads, healthcare, education,... No system is perfect, all I care they tax for 1 million, but no high taxes on capital. At some point it becomes theft and people start to leave.
New month, next DCA into our 5 coins and Bitcoin.
I'm also hitting rock bottom. Is there any point in doing this anymore? Crypto was fun but the hype might be gone now. Every month we hope finally hitting the bottom.
Binance failed MiCa license. The next thing is just speculation but would they do it on purpose? It's like how they rejected my ID card. 6 years with no problems and then unfriendly rejecting you. Maybe they will apply for a license but ask new KYC and they reject all small traders. Why? Costs of having EU customers is high, some might cost you money if they are a small holder. So Binance could just keep the big accounts. But on the other hand, if you are big you most likely have left the EU.
Happy with my nex Samsung TV.
Bought the Q930f home cinema stuff. Sound for TV/movies is clear. I kinda expected more from such a premium soundbar. It's excellent but I don't know if it is worth full retail price. The bass is not overwhelming.
For music it's to sterile. I still prefer my 30 year old stereo for music. The sound is much fuller, you can feel the music. Like when they stop playing and hit the bass drum real hard it's like a bomb going off. The basslines right into your heart. It comes much closer to live music, if you know what I mean.
Oh, I filed a small refund because of lowest price guarantee. This could pay for all the new HDMI and power cables I need.
I also have a Logitec Z-5300 surround system from 2003 hooked up on my PC. Much more powerful bass. I remember playing Burnout and you just feel the engine. The Q930f is better in sound quality but for games I haven't tried. The problem with old stuff like Z-5300 is connecting it. To a PC it's easy, but all other devices don't have this configuration, show me something with 3 outputs. Anyway the Z-5300 is still good bringing a rich sound in the room. I hate disposing working stuff.
@vonderleyen Nobody wants this. Unelected, fuck off.
Just watch The Boys.
I would pay a million to hear Butcher say: Oi Ursula, fuck off you stupid cunt.
Again EU retardness in overdrive.
Go to Temu or Aliexpress and make a list of "Made in EU" alternatives. You won't because we produce nothing. The idiots like you destroyed are own industrial base. Free trade is only for the shareholders to profit.
I've been importing over 20 years from Japan. No, those goods that I import do not follow EU rules and don't have to. That's what importing is. And you do that because those Japanese goods aren't sold in the EU. The US has no tax on those goods, but EU does. Ypu Bpost ask about 25 euro just to fill the paper work. You literal can pay 1 euro tax and 25 euro administrative cost. EU is a horrible third world country soon. You can't tax into wealth, but you can tax into poverty.
What you the Uber Retard doesn't understand is that every new 1 euro tax is 1 euro less consumption within the EU.
I buy electronics in China to repair goods and replace batteries of old devices. China sells everything! EU sells nothing!
I hope China hits back with tariffs, taxes or product band. The EU economy is already on the brink of disaster, you just start banning cheap steel. EU doesn't even produce the steel we need, higher steel prices means higher prices of goods and making EU more uncompetitive.
In China we can buy everything. Most things aren't even sold here because no online shop can be profitable selling goods under 10 euro. Shipping cost within EU is like everything overpriced too. China beats you i every way. Hopefully China stabs the EU and with a good twist, nicely deep.
And all those taxes like VAT under €22 benefits the big retailers because they collect the taxes for you. Small retailers and individuals can't do that and then you pay €25 extra fees for paperwork. Now those large retailers will circumvent it anyway.
And to go full retard, these taxes count for everyone! To piss off China you also tax the UK, USA, Japan, Australia,... People with relatives and friends are hit the most, they no longer can ship present to each other without getting taxed to dead. Trump is right to tariff those pesky EU assholes. All you did is hurt your own economy again.
I ordered the portable airco from Joybuy. Occasionally I buy from them, I found some great deals. Maybe because JB is relative new here they weren't completely sold out on airco's. Only 2 models were left, take it or leave it.
Why do I mention JB? In our media the reception is negative. I think it's good they want to bring Chinese products to our EU market. More aimed a budget friendly consumers.
Quality is usually good but what about durability? Buying Chinese brands can be a risk if you need warranty. We see that with Chinese car brands, many will disappear in the coming years. Only a car is for more years to use.
And A brands are no longer better. Most come from China anyway. What I do notice with A brands is better quality control. So yes, my Chinese white brand airco might not be so good as expensive ones, but it can be better than some other home brans which sell the same products just with a different name.
I also wonder who is going to deliver it, came with free installation. Anyway many people are on tighter budget these days, so having more options to buy from is a good thing.
