27 years ago today Backstreet Boys released their album ‘Millennium’.
It sold 1,134,000 copies in its 1st week in the U.S. and went on to be certified 13x Platinum.
The album features the hit singles “I Want It That Way”, “Larger Than Life” and “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely”
Finally got to watch #BoybandConfidential and IDK why I even put any hope into #BackstreetBoys actually ever being represented as they should be, in any of these media docus. IF you want to know how it REALLY was, watch THEIR documentary. #ShowEmWhatYoureMadeOf
Ugh. The whole NSA was bigger than #Millennium lie needs to die. NSA was bigger for SEVEN DAYS in the US only. That's it. Millennium outsold it, worldwide, and still holds records over it to this day! Honestly, they never tell the whole freaking story! #BoyBondConfidential
I'll say it, and I'm not going to apologize for it. #BackstreetBoys were robbed of their true success story, and most of the public has NO CLUE. They were ROBBED of their Grammy. They were ROBBED of their #1 single in the US, and I'll never stop saying it!
That was funny. They literally used #BackstreetBoys song to "paint a picture" of "how big" the fandom appreciation was. They cut to a bus with fans around it, I'm thinking oh yeah, its from Around the World in 100 hours. Nice! And its Nsync with like 2 rows of fans WOMP WOMP. 🤡
Oh. Well Joey was Executive Producer on #BoybandConfidential so I guess it makes sense that he would attempt to re-write history, or at least downplay how much bigger #BackstreetBoys actually were.
If Vegas is dead then @backstreetboys at @SphereVegas is my kinda heaven. Hence we wear white? I dove into how #bsb’s est $224 million residency boosted occupancy rates, revitalized hospitality, drew international tourists & sparked unity across town🌐🎶🎰
