Elections BC refused to investigate, even after a formal complaint was made before I went to the Court.
They didn’t admit to the violations of the Election Act because it was the right thing to do.
They only did so when they were backed into a corner.
I asked. I waited. I followed up.
For 30 days, they stayed silent.
It was only after being pushed through court proceedings that Elections BC finally admitted they had violated the very law they are entrusted to uphold.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Honveer Randhawa, Brenda Locke Lead Surrey Mayoral Poll as Conservatives Pull Ahead of Other Slates for Council
Surrey, BC: A new poll on the upcoming Surrey Municipal Election shows Honveer Randhawa and Brenda Locke are the leading contenders for Mayor of Surrey, while the other Mayoral candidates have fallen behind. Overall, the Conservative Party of Surrey holds a commanding lead in municipal party support.
In the mayoral race, Brenda Locke registered 31.5% support, followed closely by Honveer Randhawa at 25.3%.
The other candidates were farther behind, with Linda Annis at 15.2%, and Doug McCallum at 11.2%. On the question of who is best able to manage and address voters’ top issues as Mayor, Randhawa and Locke were tied at 30.4%.
The survey also shows the Conservatives at 47.3% in municipal party support, well ahead of Surrey First at 17.9%, Independents at 16.1%, Surrey Connect at 7.1%, Safe Surrey Coalition at 5.4%, Surrey Forward at 2.7%, United Surrey at 2.7%, and Imagine Surrey at 0.9%.
“This poll confirms what we are hearing across Surrey: the momentum is with the Conservatives, and the people of Surrey are ready for change,” said Honveer Randhawa, Conservative Candidate for Mayor of Surrey. “Brenda Locke can see that momentum building, and now she is on the run.”
The poll found that cost of living and property taxes are the top issue for Surrey voters at 45.3%, followed by public safety and stopping extortion at 25.0% and healthcare at 16.7%.
“After months of pressure from the Conservative Party of Surrey, residents, small businesses, and community advocates, Mayor Locke is backing away from her own disastrous approach to excessive and arbitrary stop-work orders,” Randhawa said. “That did not happen because City Hall suddenly started listening. It happened because Conservatives kept fighting for taxpayers, workers, builders, and families who were being treated unfairly.”
Randhawa said Surrey voters are looking for a new direction on affordability, public safety, and accountable government.
“Surrey residents deserve answers about whether taxpayer resources have been used to advance Brenda Locke’s political interests instead of the public interest,” Randhawa said. “At a time when families are struggling with the cost of living and property taxes, every dollar at City Hall should be spent serving residents, not protecting a mayor’s political future.”
“The problems go even deeper. Mayor Locke’s chaotic handling of law enforcement has left Surrey divided and has raised serious concerns about political interference in policing,” Randhawa said. “The recent departure of the Surrey Police Chief, amid accusations of politicization from the Mayor’s Office, only compounds the crisis of confidence at City Hall.”
“This is a change election,” Randhawa said. “The Conservatives are leading because we are standing with the people of Surrey: on affordability, on public safety, on fair treatment from City Hall, and on restoring trust in local government. The old way is failing. Surrey is ready for a Conservative team that will put taxpayers and communities first.”
‘Surrey, Not Sorry’ tourism slogan quickly axed due to complaints from city hall and residents — but some liked Discover Surrey's cheeky tagline.

I am disappointed. How can you keep on pretending to be a Conservative to be a liberal at the end of the day. I joined BC conservatives when it was 15 percent in polls. I fought against Gary Begg and brought the BC NDP to its knees in that riding. It feels like all my efforts were to simply get the Party ready for hijack by Libs again. What a disgrace.
@papprica@NVanCaroline@JVanluyk Blindly following a politician is the biggest mistake. It is during the time of distress when you see their true colours and you should not ignore when you see that they were not who you thought they were.
Great to join my friends MP Aaron Gunn @AaronGunn and MP Jamil Jivani @jamiljivani at the Restore the North Tour in BC these past few days, at SFU, UBC, and TWU.
Attempts by left-wing radicals to silence, harass, and intimidate the conservatives who came to take part in robust & respectful dialogue at UBC and SFU are an important reminder about why we as conservatives must keep fighting for our freedoms, especially free speech and freedom of assembly. Here’s a clip from my speech at TWU:
Earlier today, I was formally approved as a candidate for Leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia.
I want to thank the thousands of British Columbians who signed my official candidate nomination papers and support me.
Together, we will keep our party conservative and defeat the NDP.
Time's up for @Dave_Eby and the BC NDP.
Change is coming to British Columbia.
Thank you to the hundreds of enthusiastic British Columbians who came to our conservative leadership campaign rally tonight to keep our party conservative and defeat the NDP.

I'm running for Premier of BC to keep our party conservative and defeat the NDP - and our common sense conservative message is resonating.
