Good morning! As we head into the season of extreme fear porn, here’s an easy tip for you. THE AMISH RIND.
Use the peeling only in large chunks from 3 grapefruits, 3 oranges, and 3 lemons, you can substitute the oranges for 3 limes if you prefer. Put the peelings in a large crock pot and add 3 , 335 ml cans of Tonic water ( check the can and make sure it has quinine in it ) , add this all to the crock pot and then add a few inches of clean clear water ( no fluoride in the water ) to the pot. Cover with a glass lid and turn the crock pot on low setting and let simmer for 6 hours, never lifting the lid. Unplug the crock pot and leave it to cool to room temperature and then strain the peels from the fluid and freeze the fluid in ice cube trays. As soon as you start feeling under the weather, start drinking green, nettle, or dandelion tea with 2 cubes of the rind in it 3 or 4 times a day. You’ll thank me later ! P.S. one batch of cubes is enough to get your whole family through any flu season with plenty to share with your neighbours!
