@imfat That’s called motivation. Either you continue whining on X or you take that time to make a plan. All success requires sacrifices, and that is where most people lose interest.
@DrewOnTheRadio I just started back from a 20 year hiatus, and I regret not playing all this time! It’s fun and distracted exercise. Underrated to say the least.
@s_chad@Poeslawisalive@Tekeee I have a degree, and I have never had student debt.
Tuition reimbursement is a common benefit, but people choose to not find jobs that have this benefit.
Also, I’ve had a great job for 12 years now, the first have without a degree.
@JesterJum There are things that new cars have that older ones don’t, and you typically get a better interest rate on new vehicles.
Don’t lump all new cars and purchases into the same bucket. My truck was 1.9% interest and I make extra payments. I will likely keep this truck for 10 years.
@mrmikeMTL I think that is the biggest flaw in humanity, forcing ourselves to relentlessly find a purpose in everything we do and know.
Yes, philosophically, purpose is needed for most things to be accomplished. But, we take it to the extreme, and believe that humanity must have a purpose.
@mrmikeMTL It’s okay to live in the unknown until proven otherwise. And curiosity should be the catalyst to discover all of the mysteries the universe has to provide.
But living every day in doubt, not knowing true purpose, will only welcome depression.
