It is rarely mentioned nowadays, but Laso’s playing career deserves as much attention as his coaching.

He was an undersized (1.78) yet brilliant PG who read the game at the highest level and consistently turned the smallest of openings into veritable advantages.

@HoodPeris Ωραίο poll. ΔΔ θα μπορούσα να τον δω ως βασικό PG στους Clippers ή σε τωρινό ρόλο Campazzo στους Nuggets. Σπανούλης σίγουρα στους Jazz όπως αναφέρεις (κοντά στον ρόλο του σε ΠΑΟ). Και για τους 2 θα έθετα το prime πριν τα 30 γιατί μετά έπεσαν λίγο σε αθλητικότητα και άμυνα.

Marc Gasol was already an exceptional passer before he left Europe:

- Phenomenal Court Vision
- Patient when trapped
- Manipulation of defense and understanding of angles
- Creative deliveries (two underhands in the video)
- Pinpoint Accuracy

An underrated part of Murray's game is his physicality. He's excellent at handling contact in every setting (either initiating or receiving) and his screens are a sneaky source of flow in Denver's offense. Also ranks 2nd in Screen Assists among guards, behind only Ben Simmons.

That said, the best available (?) player right now that can actually provide some semblance of comparable impact is quite obviously Mike James (if they can create a roster spot).

Finding the missing piece in Gordon together with Murray playing in a playoff mode the last couple of weeks resulted in the Nuggets looking truly ready to actually content.

Murray's scoring and chemistry with Jokic (especially in the clutch) is indispensable.

What do you think of Garuba as a PnR finisher (non dunks)?

And how confident are you of him turning into a kind of reliable (35%+) 3P shooter (even in low volume)? Mechanics look a bit inconsistent.

El Clasico Thread

Garuba and Vukcevic both played at such a high level yesterday -with tremendous two way impact and clutch plays- that their performances seem like an assertive announcement for the rest of European basketball and beyond: the future -their future- is now:

Gasol was a non-factor yesterday (Real is not a good matchup for him), but in his 2 games so far has looked athletically much better than expected (considering everything).

He gets fouled here, but his first step is very quick for a 40 year old who hasn't played in two seasons:

Laprovitola was a bit hectic and with some questionable decision making but overall had a positive impact (12points, 5ast).

He sets up Garuba great here for a PnPop 3P with a behind the back dribble and pass:
