@trailblazers I was on a school bus with 6th grader band students last weekend going to the Jr. Rose Parade. I heard several of them say, "sechs, sieben"
@shaesharpeshow It all depends on what the Bucks want. If they want to stay competitive, Boston's deal makes sense if it includes Brown. If they want to rebuild, Portland's deal makes sense. If they want mediocrity for years to come, they should take Miami's offer.
@KATUNews So it would cost $505 million to keep MODA "operating as it is right now". Then it makes perfect sense that in order to make actual improvements in addition to just renovations, it would cost more than that amount. Is this really that hard to swallow?
@DannyMarang@JackedRamsays Good analysis and behind-the-scenes information.
Since Washington already gets the 2nd best pick of the MIL/BOS/POR first rounders in 2029, wouldn't a trade of another 2029 pick have to be similarly worded? For example, the best of the BOS/MIL/POR picks could be dealt.
Guaranteed to have another new champion in the NBA this year. Last repeat winners were the Warriors in 2017 and 2018. So much talk a couple of years ago about how the Celtics were going to be a new dynasty. Same sort of talk this last year about the Thunder.
@TheStrickland They forgot a few: "Don't clap politely when the Knicks score" and "Go crazy when Wild Thing is played, to honor Bob Uecker" and finally "Please don't set the river on fire if the Cavaliers lose"
@highkin I'm in favor of a plan to get rid of tanking that actually accomplishes that end. I'm tired of the whining about tanking without seeking a true resolution of the issue. If it's really a problem, put into place the solution that really gets rid of it.
@highkin It would also allow for future trades of 1st round draft picks to be more than just a crap shoot. Teams would finally know exactly what the value of 1st round picks would be in 2, 4 or 6 years instead of having to guess like they do now.
@highkin I just wish that the NBA would institute the 3-2-1 program as a stopgap plan, with the Wheel going into effect in 2032 or whenever the last currently traded pick is supposed to convey. That would signal the future end of tanking altogether.

@blazers_palace Don't forget how Atlanta blew their 2021 draft by not taking All-Rookie Bones Hyland and getting stuck with a guy that only scored 2.2 PPG in 22 games played. I wonder whatever happened to that Jalen Johnson guy.....
