@DPermabear@LogPowerslave The drought was only so bad because they sunset all of year one. The game lost so much momentum trying to rebuild itself from scratch.
@LogPowerslave People come back, play all the new stuff and then revisit the old (assuming it’s kept relevant). Then again next year, with the new added to the old.
Sunsetting killed this franchise. It was the worst mistake they ever made back in Taken King, and they decided to keep making it.
@LogPowerslave The droughts were healthy. We need time to let people play and live. The only reason The Taken King drought was so rough was because they sunset all the year one content.
In theory, each subsequent drought should be shorter as each update adds more to be played until the next.
@Violet_TVR It was short, but padded with patrol objectives and forced Stasis subclass “boss fights.”
And the story… they spend all campaign hammering it in that Stasis and darkness is bad. Now here’s your reward, Stasis!
