To my students and players I will miss you dearly! I love ya'll more than you will ever know. You have given me much more than you can ever imagine. I will always be there if you ever need me. Thank you to the Caldwell community for this past year.
Becoming a Good JV or Frosh BB Coach:
1. Realize you are developing players for the Varsity.
2. Coach the skills, fundamentals, systems needed for Varsity.
3. Teach "commitment." Discourage lateness or missing practices.
4. Do not allow poor sportsmanship or bad attitudes.
Coaches know you aren’t all in when you:
Act like you’re above others
Make excuses
Don’t listen with ears/eyes
Whine
Shut down when coached
Don’t communicate
Think rules don’t apply to you
Don’t do extra work
Pout when subbed/benched
Don’t support teammates
Play for “me”, not we
Down 10 going into the 4th.. still got the W! 44-43 vs. Waskom! Great fight today and great support playing with heavy hearts. We use the word family around here. Most proud of these guys supporting one of our own today! That’s what family does! #ProudCoach#MissionVision
