@JohnWallHoliday Just watched this game. I watched a kid on Bosco, #3 SHUT DOWN McCain, going to Duke and the announcers didn’t say a word about it. A total disservice to the Bosco kid. Basketball is more than just scoring!
@UOrangemen AAU coaches, handlers, HS coaches know the ppl doing the rankings. I have been around top 20 kids that absolutely destroyed by much lower or unranked kids. Those rankings are RUINING kids.
@UOrangemen On the other side of the court! Scholarships are year to year! If you don’t/won’t/can’t D-up your scholarship will be given to someone else! COUNT ON IT!
@UOrangemen I also know a kid that got a D1 scholarship, had multiple offers. He could score w the best of them but couldn’t guard a 🪑. He left college after one season and is now out of basketball. PLAY BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL!
@UOrangemen Had a kid get a D1 scholarship and averaged 8 pts per game. He then went on to start all 4 years at his D1 college. A good college coach knows talent when he sees it. Doesn’t matter the # of points a player scores.
@UOrangemen Both! End of game situations and we need a bucket there will be something drawn up for him. He may play off the ball at first in the set to make it easier to get him his shot.
@UOrangemen Go to a school that wants you and you know you’ll play. I know too many kids that pick the highest school that offered and 90% end up transferring bc they don’t play. Court time always beats bench time.
@UOrangemen In a blowout win a lot depends on the size of the lead and how good the other team is. I have seen coaches go to their bench early only to put their starters back in bc the other team is pressing w their starters still in. If ur bench is really weak the lead can be erased fast.
@UOrangemen Coach, you have me laughing! You know how that goes! You start listening to one and they all want a say. The inmates can not run the asylum!
@UOrangemen High school basketball does not mean equal playing time. If a team has 10 players that can legitimately help a team then you play 10 players. If you have more/less you play more/less.
@UOrangemen This is horrifying! It doesn’t matter if it’s a female or male player. At NO time do you put your hands on a player! That is an immediate conversation and then a removal from that team/program.
@UOrangemen Absolutely but be very prepared for the truth about your child. Most ppl are not prepared for a coach to tell them their child just might not be good enough, work hard enough or have the skill level to succeed at a given level…not ever child is a college player! And that’s ok!
