🧵What we do:

This one is special. ✨

The Hackney Downs artwork is complete, paying tribute to Coach Joe White, a true basketball legend from Hackney.

The refurb, a collaboration between @hackneycouncil, @LMFoundation_, @Hoopsfixfdn & Half Decent Day, has been over 3 years in the making.

We’re pleased to announce we were accepted on to the Go! London Match. Trade. Grow. Programme last year, run in partnership with the School for Social Entrepreneurs, and have achieved the full match funded grant of £25,000 by increasing our trading income by £25,000! 📈🇬🇧🏀

Phase 1 ✅

We’ll be back in the spring to put down the artwork and install the bleachers 🫡🇬🇧🏀

The iconic Brighton Beach court was given a glamorous renovation thanks to @SamNeter and the @HoopsfixFdn along with @BrightonHoveCC. In two years a tired, faded court was transformed with goals of future tournaments being held there. https://t.co/REyu3QQSWF

A special mention must go to the family of Ben Blossom, a TPL regular who sadly passed away. In memory, his family invited donations towards the refurb - their generosity played a vital role.

TPL has re-opened today with a fresh new look, along with upgraded hoops, backboards, and some surface work! 🥰
