@Nyamisa_Chela Dormitories are not private domiciles. Walking naked is not allowed, and if they walk naked before others, why would a same sex person watching from a different room be not ok?
Or you assume the school is hawking videos with pornhub? Retarded.
So the political narrative of the lady who tattooed Ruto on herself, that she was killed because of that is FALSE?
Ruto and his UDA minions must apologize for incitement and false information. This is the lady's own words.
In January, there's a guy who purchased re-bars at a hardware in Kitengela, Kajiado. He paid in full amount (800k) but didn't collect the goods instead he asked the hardware owner to keep them for him but got a receipt. Ofcourse the prices of rebars have gone up since then.
This morning he asked the hardware owner to prepare the rebars for him to collect. The hardware owner says, yes the rebars are available but the prices I got this stock for were higher so you have to top up 400k to make 1.2m.
My friend is demanding his rebars, at the amount he purchased them in January. The hardware owner on the other hand says you either top up 400k or I refund your 800k.
Who's right, who's wrong?. Discuss.
Galileo Galilei was born in 1564. He was very good at studies as a child.
When the first telescope was invented in 1608, Galileo quickly improved its design so that it could magnify 20 or even 30 times.
Two years later, Galileo used his improved telescope and discovered four massive moons of Jupiter: Io, Ganymede, Europa, and Callisto.
At the same time, Galileo also observed that the Earth and Moon orbit the Sun.
However, at that time the Church controlled what people were allowed to know. According to them, the Earth was the center of the universe, located in the heavens.
In 1633, Galileo was sentenced to life imprisonment for these radical ideas.
He spent the next nine years under house arrest.
Galileo died in custody. It took the Catholic Church 350 years to officially concede that the Earth is not the center of the universe, and another eight years to formally apologize for what they did to Galileo.
Bayes’ theorem is probably the single most important thing any rational person can learn.
So many of our debates and disagreements that we shout about are because we don’t understand Bayes’ theorem or how human rationality often works.
Bayes’ theorem is named after the 18th-century Thomas Bayes, and essentially it’s a formula that asks: when you are presented with all of the evidence for something, how much should you believe it?
Bayes’ theorem teaches us that our beliefs are not fixed; they are probabilities. Our beliefs change as we weigh new evidence against our assumptions, or our priors. In other words, we all carry certain ideas about how the world works, and new evidence can challenge them.
For example, somebody might believe that smoking is safe, that stress causes mouth ulcers, or that human activity is unrelated to climate change. These are their priors, their starting points. They can be formed by our culture, our biases, or even incomplete information.
Now imagine a new study comes along that challenges one of your priors. A single study might not carry enough weight to overturn your existing beliefs. But as studies accumulate, eventually the scales may tip. At some point, your prior will become less and less plausible.
Bayes’ theorem argues that being rational is not about black and white. It’s not even about true or false. It’s about what is most reasonable based on the best available evidence. But for this to work, we need to be presented with as much high-quality data as possible. Without evidence—without belief-forming data—we are left only with our priors and biases. And those aren’t all that rational.
Been wondering why my tea has this weird texture and taste lately. Kumbe it's the milk I'm currently using. @MountKenyaMilk , are you guys selling milk or unga ngano?
