One year ago today, the Government proscribed the direct action protest group Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation.

Since then, over 3,300 arrests have been made of people holding placards.

Treating protest as terrorism leaves the door wide open for governments to suppress protest movements in the future, while clamping down on solidarity with Palestinians right now.

We cannot challenge injustice and uphold our own rights if we cannot come together to protest. We cannot allow the government to take that right away.

【6月20日・世界難民の日】

トランス女性の難民サブリナさんが、ケニア・ナイロビの比較的安全な地域で襲撃されました。
命は助かりましたが、プライドマンスの最中、難民として逃れた国で再び命の危険に晒されたのです。

ウガンダでは、アメリカの極右福音派の影響でLGBTQ+差別が過去15年で急激に拡大。
そして一昨年、同性行為に対して最高刑として死刑を科すことを可能とする「反同性愛法」が成立しました。
迫害から逃れてケニアにたどり着いても、そこでまた命を狙われることがあります。

「このTシャツを着る？無理だよ。歩くカムアウトじゃん。殺されるよ」

そう言いながらも、彼は家の中でこのTシャツを着ています。

🛍️ AKATALEは、ケニアのLGBTQ+難民とともに立ち上げたブランドです。
彼らが作ったキテンゲ布のバッグや、日本で制作したTシャツを販売し、収益の一部を難民シェルターの家賃や医療費など、必要なときに限って支援に使っています。

彼らの目標は、支援に頼らない「経済的自立」。
だからこそ、売上が彼らの力になります。

同時に、日本国内や他国にいる困窮する難民・移民・LGBTQ+難民にも支援を広げています。
