It’s not about that day, it’s about the rest of your lives. Never forget that.
We’ve been married for just over 6 months now, but have been together almost 12 years. We’re quite possibly the happiest we’ve ever been and the only thing that matters to us, is us.
And in all reality, the wedding really doesn’t matter either. Enjoy the day, but don’t make it the center of your marriage. What does matter though…is your relationship. Commit to your relationship, INVEST in your relationship. Getting married is about the union of two people.
A note to those engaged/soon to be engaged from a newlywed:
In the grand scheme of things, the proposal doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t need some big grand gesture to say “yes” if it’s the right person.
@ranchersdottir …buy from that 5K feedlot who markets to places like Tyson&also works with the local locker to sell direct. Most of the feedlots of 100+ hd truly cared about the nutrition their cattle were getting. The “local homesteaders” usually only cared about how cheap they could get feed.
@ranchersdottir 🙃🙃I wish more people understood how the cattle market/world works🤦🏼♀️ I used to sell feed in NW IA. My biggest customer was a 5,000 head feedlot, some of my smallest were the backyard “homesteaders” that finished out a couple head/year. I can 100% tell you that I’d rather…
How do you nicely tell people that you want them to quit asking how wedding planning is going?😅 I’m real close to just shutting my phone completely off🙃
@BEisenhart I’d want to see stats on injuries over the years. As a previous high school athlete, I wish I had the training/knowledge they have today. I’d like to assume, I wouldn’t have the injuries I have today.
The number of people who get herding breeds (heeler, aussie, BC, etc.) simply because they’re “cute” as puppies, then have to rehome them not even a year later because the dog has become “too much” make me want to pull my hair out. DO. BETTER. 🤦🏼♀️
