Chaplaincy account for Hope Academy: a joint Catholic & Church of England Academy ✝️
This Sunday, to celebrate Pentecost and the birthday of the Church, there is a march along Hope Street between our two cathedrals! The event begins 3pm at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. The theme is "Many Voices, One Faith" It would be great to see you there to celebrate! 🙂🙏
We had our first @ASMAT_Liverpool Trust Choir rehearsal today at @SMAliverpool for our Trust Summer Service, which takes place at @LivCathedral in July. All 5 of our chosen hymns sounded beautiful! Well done to all students involved. It's always lovely to hear you sing together🎵
Today our Year 4 children received their First Holy Communion, a special milestone in their faith journey✨🙏
We’re so proud of every child for the reverence and faith shown during this celebration. Thank you to our families, parish & staff for your support on this special day💙

We are extremely proud to be an Outstanding RE department within an Outstanding Academy! To quote the report 'the school is a shining example of a joint denominational community that is wholly Catholic and wholly Church of England.' We couldn't be any happier!😁💚✝️
Tomorrow is the Feast of the Ascension, when Jesus ascended into heaven 40 days after rising from the dead on Easter Sunday. We have our monthly Catholic Mass here at @Hope_Academy to celebrate at 8.10am. Staff, students and their family members are all welcome to attend 🙏
It doesn't feel like 5 years since the Class of 2026 joined Hope Academy! It was wonderful to celebrate their time here on Thursday with readings, reflections and music. Students also received a prayer card on Friday that they can keep and say during their exam season 🙏
Reflections from Head Students Oliver and Keira captured the journey of the past five years, while prayers and readings from Senior Prefects affirmed the gifts and talents given by God. Contributions from Team Hope offered warm, witty reflections on life at Hope Academy.

This week Mr Harding & the Environment team have been leading Collective Worship, helping us reflect on how we can care for God's creation - Earth. Their insights have been truly inspiring, especially as students have shared their own passions & hopes for protecting our planet🙏
Let us #PrayTogether that everyone, from large producers to small consumers, be committed to avoid wasting food, and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food. #PrayerIntention@clicktopray_en https://t.co/S3TtsnBEer
Mr Ward is leading our Worship this week, focusing on our core value of Courage. He spoke about Joshua 1:9, and the courage God gave to Joshua to lead the people after Moses did. This was linked to courageous people like Rosa Parks and Greta Thunberg. Y10 were enthralled! 😊🙏
As we return to school today, there are signs all around @Hope_Academy to remind us of the incredible Easter message that He is Risen! These three words changed everything! As we begin a new term, let us feel the renewal of the Easter message and live as Easter people ✝️😊
We had 2 more groups of Y8 and Y9 students visit St. John's today to help with a number of Primary school Easter Journeys. Students were able to serve our community, and many positive comments were given about their attitude, behaviour, and willingness to help ☺️ Well done! 🙌🙏
Year 8 students have been living our vision of 'serving others through love' by helping with the Easter Journey at St. John's church! Over the next 3 days, 30 students will be helping Year 5 from 9 different primaries take part in learning about Easter in a fun way! Well done! 😊
Our Year 7s were unable to walk down to St. Mary's this morning for our Easter Service, so they took part in the @CAFOD Big Lent Walk during PE lessons instead! Well done! We have now passed our £200 fundraising mark and there are still 3 days left - time to raise more! 😀
These lovely Year 7s are leading our Easter Service this week! They have rehearsed and are ready to tell the Easter Story to others. Let's hope the weather holds so we can make our @CAFOD Big Lent Walk tomorrow to St. Mary's church ready for the Year 7 Service! 🚶♂️🚶♀️🙏
Recently, some of our Year 10 & 11 students helped Bishop Ruth with a very important task. They were humbled to receive a handwritten thank you card and (in their words) 'posh' bars of chocolate as a Thank You! 😊
Thank you Bishop Ruth - our students will cherish their gifts! 🙏
This was a wonderful class to end our annual Lent Reflections and Workshops with! We've enjoyed exploring a new theme of Jesus' final words on the cross. Students have really come to understand the love, mission, & salvation He spoke about on the cross, and the importance of it🙏
30AH had an amazing time in the chapel today! We looked at the seven sayings of Jesus on the cross including themes of forgiveness, salvation and trust in God🙌🏽 Thank you so much Kasia for this gorgeous afternoon, it was fun and engaging!🌟 @HopeAcademyRE@HopeChaplain
Today is the penultimate day of our Lent Workshops - seven days of looking at the seven sayings of Jesus on the cross. Students in KS3 have made us really proud in how they've taken part in each task! It has been wonderful to reflect on how profound Jesus' last words were. 🙏🥰
