Meet Melissa, a member of Genesis Church, which is a Hope Florida partner. Because of Hope Florida, Melissa has the opportunity to help families in the foster care system and leverage the power of the community to provide solutions for Floridians in need.
A veteran and caregiver for his family was struggling to find housing. After delays with a support provider, a Hope Navigator stepped in, uncovered a critical case management gap, and resolved the issue. He then qualified for a new apartment, giving his family peace of mind.
David, a Hope Florida mentor, has been a steady presence since his mentee re-entered foster care in 2019. From encouraging sibling visits to setting academic goals, he’s offered constant support. Now, with graduation ahead, his mentee knows David will be right there beside him.
After losing her husband, a mother seeking support for herself and her son connected with a Hope Navigator. They were quickly linked to counseling, mentorship, and rental assistance to ease financial stress. Thanks to Hope Florida, this family is now healing together.

After falling victim to a rental scam, a mother and her 2 children—one with a medical condition—were forced to live in their car. A Hope Navigator connected them to food and a nonprofit for housing support. Today, in a new apartment, this mother can focus on her family’s future.
An 82 year old woman who required oxygen was living out of her car, alone. She reached out to Hope Florida for help. Her tireless Hope Navigator helped her find stable housing and even reached out to the faith community who provided meals, help, and hope.
A disabled veteran returned home from medical treatment to unmanageable bills. His Hope Navigator helped him find short-term utility aid and made a plan to stabilize his finances. With compassionate guidance, he regained his sense of dignity and found a renewed sense of hope.
