Meet the Dollywood Litter! These 5 orphans were going to be euthanized by the shelter, as they needed to be bottle fed every 2 hours and had no overnight staff. We listed our rescue as an absolute last resort, as they had zero pledges and these puppies had medical conditions and transport we’d need to fundraise for, but no one stepped up and their lives were on the line. The shelter generously stayed open half an hour late for us. I was bottle feeding nonstop, without sleep, for 36 hours straight until emergency temp fosters could step in. Our last minute puppy fosters have been heroes, but we still need more as the litters get older. #rescue #bordercollie #dollyparton #adoptdontshop #scruffydog

This 6 lb toy is the definition of Poodle-core 🎀 To describe Princess Penelope in brief would be: - Dainty 🩰 - Diva 💅 - Babygirl 🥺👉👈 - The Moment 📸 She is literally a Paris Hilton purse dog, who wants to be carried around and doted on by her future adopter. Like most purse dogs (and divas), her social circle mostly consists of one or two besties, and strangers (esp men 🙄) get the stink eye. (SAME GURL, PREACH!!) She is EXACTLY who she thinks she is 🤩 And is looking for a home that will give this girl her well-deserved appreciation, and filtered Brita water. This boo needs trips to the spa every 4-6 weeks, along with daily brushing to keep them bouncy curls on fleek. She came to us matted and malnourished, from a puppy mill with over 420 other dogs. Girl was chopped, but we helped her out with a full dental, and a grooming. Bear had yet another freak medical emergency. Poor guy just cannot catch a break. Bear was alone in his kennel when his foot somehow got tangled in a blanket, cutting off circulation to his paw. His foot swelled to be twice its normal size; the fabric cut deep into his ankle to the point it bled. We think he may have been panicking in his kennel from fireworks, and when his nail snagged on the blanket, he spun until the blanket wrapped tighter and tighter, like a tourniquet. Despite all the pain he was in, he was so cooperative as we sliced away the blanket to free him. It took 10 agonizing minutes to get through all the layers of tightly wound fabric. He nipped at the scissors, but made a conscious effort not to bite his foster mama’s hands. Once his foot was free, we rushed in to the vet, where they evaluated his paw. His whole nail had ripped off clean, but circulation hadn’t been cut off long enough to cause any longterm damage. He was prescribed some meds, and is recovering nicely.
