Uh? Tricky subtleties.
Is "y" a double "i" or a "LLi"?

(i + u) vs (yu)
(i + a) vs (ya)
(i + o) vs (yo)

Pronunciation in Japanese makes more sense in Spanish. I guess the other language that makes sense is Finnish.

Like "i" it's "i" not "ee" as in "eel" or "i" in "innocent".

Also hard to make relations to learn words, like there isn't much to relate.
