Yo @cobie, I don’t know the person making these claims about @coinbase, so I can’t speak to their situation. But I can confirm the story they described happened to me.
I sent Coinbase $1M+ after using the platform for years and paying for premium service. My assets grew to roughly $4M, and when I tried to sell, I couldn’t.
After dozens of calls, support tickets, emails, and even assistance from @jessepollak, my issue still hasn’t been resolved, two years later.
I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking Coinbase leadership to simply look at my case and help resolve it.
@kunoo@coinbase Can't find any account matching this description so skeptical this isn't just engagement bait, but it's also possible I'm dumb and can't read — if real pls dm me the email address of the locked account and I can try to get resolved asap
@bukasphere Yes being able to monetize sensationalism and sex in the way the internet/social media makes possible is definitely in new and interesting phenomenon that one could definitely argue is leading to our complete and utter moral decline
The game has changed.
Back in my era, there was an unwritten code. Max extracting at everyone else’s expense was frowned upon. If you took too much, the community made sure you knew it.
I had countless opportunities to make eight figures on a single trade, but I was content taking six figures and leaving the rest for others to eat.
By today’s standards, they’d call that washed.
I call it having a code. I call it integrity.
Not every dollar you leave on the table is a dollar you failed to make.
I stand firmly behind what I’ve said. I’m not paid to say any of this, I’m just the only person that doesn’t fear of backlash.
https://t.co/j5SH1Sye68 doesn’t force you to buy 50 different $5K market cap coins while fading hard working devs who show up every day and operate with integrity. That’s a choice.
The same people calling Pump evil support platforms with even more extractive business models. If you’re calling for Pump’s death, keep that same energy for every platform operating the same way.
The uncomfortable truth is that the platforms aren’t the problem. We are.
For example, people insult @blknoiz06 for delivering a $450M runner in the middle of a bear market because it retraced to $150M, yet continue throwing money at anonymous scammers launching rugs by the thousands.
You cannot demand integrity while rewarding the exact behavior you claim to despise.
I haven’t looked into the mechanics of callout rewards in depth, so I could be wrong, but my understanding is that rewards are directly tied to the volume your calls generate. If your friend drives more volume, it makes sense that they’d earn more.
That said, look at it this way: making even $1 for something you were making $0 from just a few months ago is a win.
https://t.co/j5SH1Sye68 was never obligated to introduce callout rewards, but competition pushed them to innovate and create an incredible flywheel that benefits callers.
Keep making good calls, and you can close the gap faster than you think. Be happy for others when they succeed, keep working hard, and eventually your time will come, too.
@HopiumPapi I think the major issue people have is , I for example call exactly the same as a friend of mine. He has 2.5k followers on pump I have 50.
He gets paid 2k a day I get paid 1 dollar. This is the issue.
A lot of people coping saying me and ethan prosper can’t pull
Like bro, you don’t even wanna see the kinda 2mans we run in miami 😹😹
IG MODELS. IG. MODELS.
@HopiumPapi I agree with your take but at the same time I’d love to see an adjustment to the call-out rewards which incentivises holding/believing in something + maybe something like you only get callout rewards on a 5k shitter if it reaches a threshold (let’s say $100k)
@bukasphere I feel what you’re saying but when you think about it we have always been disgusting study slavery and war before international law was a thing.
POV: https://t.co/lj6ifTmyM7 holding a gun to my head, forcing me to buy $20K toppers that hard rug instead of high quality memes with billion dollar potential like $ANSEM. 😭
We are not naive expecting coins to go up forever. What we are asking for is principled people behind these launches who aren’t looking to extract every last dollar from their holders.
Is that too much to ask for?
