Hopkins Dining is thrilled to partner with Flying Plow to bring a flexible Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program to campus.
Starting June 17, subscribers can pick up organic, locally sourced food at Charles Street Market. With every box sold, $5 goes to the Hopkins Food Pantry, and unclaimed boxes are donated to help reduce food waste. Flying Plow also accepts EBT, helping make fresh, local food more available to all members of the Hopkins community.

Earth Day is a reminder that the choices we make today shape the future of our planet. At Hopkins Dining, sustainability is not a moment, it is a commitment woven into how we source, serve, and support our community every day. 🌎🌿
This academic year alone, we have diverted 144 tons of organic waste from incineration, supported local farms through composting, and reinvested over $160,000 back into our local food economy. From serving locally roasted coffee and Certified Humane dairy to introducing fully local seasonal salads at Tossed, every detail matters.
We are continuing to grow our impact through initiatives like Weigh Your Waste, expanding farm stands on campus, and exploring new ways to improve food access and reduce waste responsibly.
Small choices add up. And together, we are building a more sustainable future one plate at a time.
