22 May 1944 | All SS men at #Auschwitz were ordered to sign the following statement:

1) I am aware and have been informed today that I will be punished by death if I misuse Jewish property of any kind.

2) I must maintain absolute secrecy about all measures carried out during the evacuation of the Jews, also among my comrades.

3) I will devote my entire person and power to the rapid and smooth implementation of these measures.

Such statements were attached to the personal files of SS men. This was undoubtedly related to the numerous cases of corruption and theft of property of Jews deported from Hungary.

It looks like the salvage vessel Chuan Hong, notoriously connected with the illegal destruction & salvage of a number of #WW2 #shipwrecks, has been spotted off Kuantan, Malaysia over the locations of the wrecks of the @RoyalNavy's HMS Prince of Wales & HMS Repulse.
