Just experienced a unique podcast moment - heard my brother's stories about our dad for the first time when @HopoksiaPodcast aired, thanks to my tech issues during recording! Can't wait for the next 4 episodes (and maybe some reaction videos 👀).
Her research, as well as research by others, have shown the importance of early screening in order to recognize the neurotype and the formulation of interventions to help reduce the development of the less desirable or more violent behaviors.

PREVIEW: Today we are joined by neuroscientist, psychologist, Professor in the Dept of Psychology & the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program at Georgetown University, Dr. Abigail Marsh, who’s here to help us to better understand psychopathy and the variation of human behavior.
We're finally back! Taking a break from our series about more serious topics to invite you all to our Halloween party! We're hanging out with Priya & reading cards to see what to expect for the upcoming year.

I have been saying this very thing (publicly) for one month shy of a decade now. When will society start listening to parents like me & the experts who say the same things we are saying? It’s not like we haven’t both been extremely clear.
I really can’t stand people trying to become the new colonial rulers continuing to infantilize and villainize Native peoples. There is no “decolonization” without return of land and stewardship.
Missed another upload this week, because I’ve been trying to keep my head above water & just couldn’t manage that, on top of everything else. My apologies.
I would put money on it that potential placements for my daughter don’t get full disclosure about her history of violence, perpetrating against other children, or animal cruelty.
In reality, she should only be in a home with no pets or other children.
#SadButTrue: Child murdered animals repeatedly. Was eventually removed from home bc danger to siblings. Child is put up for adoption by government.
NO MENTION of violence included in adoption advert. It read like a personal ad: likes long walks on the beach, etc.
Please remember #sesta#fosta was incredibly harmful to sex workers, and we need to have an honest discussion about how trying to push sex workers off of the internet led to more sex workers in the streets with fewer safety nets.
Soulless Sam, from Season 6 of Supernatural, is one of the best depictions of psychopathy that we’ve seen.

Can you cure a narcissist/psychopath/coercive controller?
Short answer: NO
1. n/p/cc have pre-frontal cortex and amygdala brain anomalies. They don’t change.
2. n/p/cc do not experience emotions (other than a pathological anger). They see themselves as superior and those of us who emote as weak. They do not WANT to change.
3. Research shows they don’t change.
4. My discussions with people around the world who have implemented reform and improvement programs, such as prison heads, confirm there is no change.
5. It is widely reported that n/p/cc do not choose therapy. If they are compelled or mandated to be in therapy, they use the experience to leverage. For example, to manipulate the experience against their ex-partner or to intimidate the therapist into providing a particular outcome.
I am often asked how Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) fits with narcissism/psychopathy/coercive control.
My data indicates narcissism and psychopathy and coercive control are all just sub sets of one over-arching dark personality type which has the attributes and uses the same tactics. I call it Persistent Predatory Personality.
It is my belief that the behaviours which are meant to constitute BPD are in fact normal human responses to exceptionally gruelling and long-term abuse or torture, like that inflicted by those that are of PPP.
