In yesterday's panel to close #NZHPE2019, Adam Wilson described the need to consider the way we speak to our students - do you speak to, at or with your students? This was a great parting reflection for me & goes a long way in helping me be the teacher my learners need me to be!

Kids improve in pretty much everything during adolescence, so is the improvement because of coaching or natural development? Key question to answer
"performance funnels" need a big cohort, but then you can identify the kids improving more rapidly than their peers
