We are a 5 acre hops farm in the Piedmont NC. We grow 5 different varieties and supply the Triad region of NC as well as Charlotte, Statesville, Lexington etc
Dropped off some more New Sarum Lip balm made on site at Hoppin J’s hops farm. It is peppermint and contains some slight hop oil derived from our Cascade hops! Drop by a pick some up and try some of their great brews!
We had a fantastic times seeing old friends and meeting new ones at this years NCCBG conference in Winston Salem! We look forward to introducing our great local hops to our new friends

A couple of weeks ago we provided our NC hops to New Sarum, Resident Culture, Brown Truck,Pig Pounder and other local breweries! Man it’s great to have hops grown right here in the Piedmont! Be on lookout ya’ll and ask about the hops!
I will be bringing some of our varieties of hops this weekend to 4 th Creek and He’ll on Horsecreek breweries this weekend! Be on the lookout of their brews with NC local hops!!!
Here at Hoppin’J’s our new hops harvester means we get very little lose of cones and the amount of time to obtains the cones is 100-200% improved! WOW what a difference. Means even more cones for our brewers going forward

Ok fresh hops fan!!! Hops harvest at Hoppin’ J’s is on. We will start on Thursday 8/19- Saturday 21. There will be brewers from different regions coming by to help as well as pick out their hops for their special brews! Can’t wait to see everybody as well as taste their brews
Well the hops are starting up the bine! They are starting to take off and we are looking for a fantastic harvest this yr. The study hops from NCSU are looking good as well. Can’t wait!!!
Dr. Luping Qu from NCSU. Hop research visited the hops field today. He looked at his research site that will be planted this May. He was met by representatives from NC Agriculture extension. He also was impressed by our processing center!
The extension agent as well as other agents from NC Agricultural dept will be joining myself and the professor from NCSU to see our future test site for the new investigational hops developed for our region. I can forward the chemical analysis to any brewer interested
This Thursday 3/18 the professor from NCSU that is developing the 2 hops varieties for our region will be touring our field to lay out the research area. We will growing and testing these new hops. They are very prolific and produce about 6 times as much as other hops
