The idea that some entity (the U.S.? Israel?) could raze the 3rd holiest site in Islam (Dome of the Rock/Haram al-Sharif) to build the 3rd Jewish Temple is the sort of wild scheme you read abt in bad Christian apocalyptic novels. Now, it's also the hope of the future SecDef! 17/
@GeauxGabrielle@rolandsmartin There are also a lot of undocumented workers and their families living in marginal living conditions: in defunct RV's and "apartments" that would never pass occupation inspections, especially in agricultural settings.
@MikeMoralis86@JackRyanlives You're advocating for big government to mandate oil production output to private companies to control pricing for the masses, so, yeah, you're a commie.
@EbonyJHilton_MD The trick is if Elon can manage Trump's ego through Putin's sincere and public threats and defend his personal control of Starlink, or if Trump breaks trust with Musk and orders him to follow Putin's orders to protect himself against Putin's threats.
@EbonyJHilton_MD I think there's only one thing Putin would lean on Trump and Musk for before the inauguration, and that's for Starlink to completely "switch sides" in Ukraine, immediately
I think Trump would gladly do it, but Elon would lose all his power without any gain for himself
No one understands this moment and how we got here better than @carolecadwalla.
If ever there was a “must read” essay, this is it.

DEMS: Donald Trump is a pathological liar who actively attempted to cheat in the 2020 election and refused to admit he lost and has since been convicted of 34 felonies and stands indicted for 54 more
UNDECIDEDS: I just wish those Democrats weren’t so preachy and sanctimonious
@RadioFreeTom There were very good reasons the Poles ordered massive amounts of weaponry after Russia invaded Ukraine. They've been left on their own before.
one of the reasons why race relations are trash right now is because white supremacists got their guy back in, and "white moderates" are defending the pig's voters with such white-centered words as "working-class voter," common man," and "elitist"
So you think Trump won because of right-wing information silos and the right’s dominance of so many information spaces, but you’re leaving Twitter to go to a nearly exclusive left-leaning platform? Ok. That seems unwise, but you do you.
I keep thinking about it and these are two facts that I can't get around.
1. Based on exit polling, the people who voted for Trump were massively misinformed, objectively speaking.
2. There is a massive right-wing media which disseminates this misinformation. It's not just Fox News.
3. Due to a combination of factors, the people who vote for Trump tend to silo themselves off from any contradictory information.
I don't know how we get around this problem, but blaming it on "Democratic messaging" is just silly. Messaging doesn't matter if the people who are voting never hear that message, and the Democrats can't force them to hear it.
@Ivan86173251@BlackKnight10k@MalcolmNance Uh, no, the convictions have not been "droped."
I am currently hoping he is sentenced to jail time, deferred until Jan 20th, 2029.
