Most women who choose to stand in dark corners at night or follow random men home as a profession are rarely good people. They are often deeply damaged and dangerously wicked, they are usually hardened by constant exposure to and selling sex to the worst men society has to offer.
These are men who abuse them, assault them, and rob them without mercy. The trauma twists them. From my experience handling such cases, some of these prostitutes have turned to poisoning their clients just to rob them and they’ve been caught.
One particularly chilling case involved a married IJGB man who came to Lagos for a December “enjoyment” before reuniting with his family. He picked up a prostitute and took her to apartment. She drugged him, took compromising naked photos of him in degrading positions, then cleaned him out completely, she wiped out his palmpay, stole his cash, phones, gold, and even his passport containing multiple visas.
When we got the case, tracking her proved extremely difficult and expensive. Discreet jobs like this can’t be made public no matter what, and must be handled with extreme caution. But the nightmare didn’t end there.
Even after stealing everything, this greedy thief used his Instagram handle and secondary WhatsApp number to share his nudes and also contact him. She demanded more money, threatening to send his nudes to his children and more family members whose contacts she had taken from his phone.
Her tactic made her nearly impossible to locate she only switched on the phone when she wanted to blackmail him, constantly moving from place to place. Eventually, after a long and costly pursuit, we tracked her down, police caught her at Ibafo, Ogun state in the act, and recovered his passport along with some of the money she hadn’t yet spent or converted.
Bottom line: Men who pick up prostitutes are risking their lives far more than they realize. What begins as a night of pleasure can end in blackmail, ruin, or even death. It simply isn’t worth it.
