@joeybagodon@the_P_God 1. That’s not how rates work
2. The best comparison year for FL you can pick out of there is 29% higher than NY. That is not marginal
@ChiefnMusicCity@Matty_KCSN@LiL_JaBuka Did you read anything past the first sentence? Or my follow up? Hydration breaks completely stop whatever momentum had been occurring, between both physical and tactical planning
@Matty_KCSN@LiL_JaBuka IMO the tactical/substitution side of it is more significant, but yes that as well. Like marathoners would be able to run faster in theory if the entire race were paused for a couple of hydration breaks, but that would be against the spirit of the event
@Matty_KCSN@LiL_JaBuka ^I change my stance completely if the heat is too intense though, nobody wants to see players unable to play. Over 90 degrees warrants the breaks imo. But we all know this is about $$$, not player safety.

@billybagman@gower_bryan@cdotharrison Well the game didn’t end as it started as you stated. Both teams had 0 points before and now they have 1 point each. 1 point for Spain being a major stumble, while 1 point for CV being the most significant sporting achievement in the history of their country.
@Matty_KCSN@LiL_JaBuka It’s an endurance sport where endurance is being eased, not in the spirit of the game. As well as the tactical change of managers being able to address their full squad more often. A major part of any game are its challenges, which are being removed in this case.
@billybagman@gower_bryan@cdotharrison What you need to realize is that the points are the focus. Every group plays each other and basically expects to lose to a juggernaut like Spain. Getting a point off of them is a win in itself, giving you a leg up over the rest of the teams in the group going forward
@berry_CFL@Chris_in_MA@TaylorTwellman Exactly, and the 9.99M other athletes create better competition for those ten to be forced to be better. The xavis, iniestas, etc HAD to be tactically brilliant in order to overcome their athletic superiors. If competition is mediocre, you don’t have to be as sharp to succeed.
@lostinmissouri1@JJFilson@CharlesDardaman@umichvoter Yup, KC is geographically, topographically, and most importantly culturally midwestern. You’ll find cowboy hats in Denver and OKC, you’ll never see one in KC outside of the American Royal, which is a cosplay event essentially. - someone who has lived in 5 Midwest states
@StephenFleming This is how frontier operates and it is always pretty quick to board. They practically beg you to check your bag. They also have one of the lowest lost luggage rates of American carriers. Best budget airline in the world
@Wanderer071189@dann0bann0 Osceola, MO is another great example of this. I will go an hour out of my way on a road trip to stop and have unlimited samples of some of the best cheeses in the world. In BFE Missouri…
@Smiffysmifston@kaitybella@SurelyAutomata You do know that you sign the receipt right? You verify what you pay for, it’s not some big mystery. Just like pickpocketing, server scamming is not an issue in the states. There’s a social contract (and punishment for breakage) here that does not seem to exist elsewhere.
@deshawn_hw@Piff_515@Nate_Knows_Ball You can try to include little in the conversation as he is probably the highest average ability between blocking and receiving, but he’s way behind in terms of production and impact. Notice how the two best blocking TE’s in the convo can’t stay on the field due to injuries…
