On April 20, 2026, we will release our long-awaited collaboration with WAR88: “Division z.V. / A.O.”. Each of the two bands contributes four new songs plus an intro. This joint release will be issued simultaneously on LP, CD, and cassette. A digital download will once again be made available via Heretic Camp.

This is hands-down the most common and dumbest argument people trot out against this band. The hilarious part is that anyone can fact-check it in two seconds flat and see how utterly baseless the claim is - that the music is total garbage and the band’s popularity must come from some other shady reasons.
Sure, I’ll concede that the really ancient recordings can be dismissed on pure quality grounds (though their re-recordings on “Der fünfzehnjährige Krieg” prove it was a production problem, not songwriting). But come on - what band with a 35-year career gets judged and shit on based on their fucking demo tapes? That’s beyond absurd (sic!).
Everything this band has put out for the last 25 years is at least as good as - and often straight-up better than - most of the crap coming out in the same scene.
The reality is this: it’s not the fans who love Absurd for non-musical reasons. No. It’s the critics and haters who reject and demonize them for non-musical reasons. And that dishonest bullshit needs to be called out exactly like that!

We proudly present the one and only official vinyl reissue of Absurd's debut classic album, Facta Loquuntur, as it was originally released in 1996. This is a faithful replica of the first pressing, as it was originally released by No Colours and SDP. Nothing has been changed, added, or omitted. Thus, 30 years after its original release, this LP can once again be experienced exactly as it first saw the light of day.
The best version of Mourning Soul, as you can sense the real source that this song was attempting to invoke, at least in my opinion. @dtbrex

Today has been magnificently fun but I’m all kinds of exhausted.
I know what I’m going to be listening to tonight but, first, I can’t get enough of the Absurd/Vothana split.
I’m genuinely embarrassed that I haven’t been listening to Absurd for 20 years!
This is your reminder to check out Bagnik Zine.
Besides possibly the most informative interview with JFN, there are in-depth interviews with Dayal Patterson, StringsSkald, and plenty of Belarusian bands, including PESTILENTIA and LJOSAZABOJSTWA.
