If you will not fill your life,
with highness, and joy,
with understanding,
with beauty and purity,
the result will be that
you will be forced
to fill up your life
with some kind of rubbish.
Often that rubbish is in the form
of a person.
Don't let that happen to you.
You are going to be afraid.
There would be insecurity, anxiety, greed, possessiveness.
Your resist all this because you believe you are too big and too good to experience these lowly things.
Don’t have an inflated self-image, and insecurity and fear would come, teach, and go.
Thought serves a great purpose: it eats away time. Otherwise, navigating time is such a pain.
Thinking, we let years and life slip away. Else, life demands decisive action.
Compulsive thinking helps avoid the risks of seeing simply, and acting rightly-spontaneously-decisively.
The real teacher,
the real friend,
the real lover,
does not promise you victory.
He promises you a real war.
Our problem is not
that we lose wars.
Our problem is that
we are too busy
fighting fake wars.

Listening to a teacher isn't the same as listening to a railway announcement. There, you must get it or you miss the train. Here,if you get it then you miss life.
Registering-experiencing is food for the ego. In listening the ego starves, and is fulfilled.

"Indians don't kill any living creatures, don't keep pigs and hen, and don't sell cattle"
- Fahian, Chinese, 5th CE
India was the world's largest economy till 17th century, prominent in science, arts, and a centre of peace.
The non-violent spiritual life brings several riches.
If India is still largely vegetarian, is it because of liberal activists, or because of Dharma?
Dharma is saving millions of animals everyday.
The best way to save animals is Dharma. Reason? Compassion is not a thing of logic or mind.
Care for life? Dharma alone helps.
(3/3)
Why is India is still the biggest vegetarian country in the world? Because Dharma has taught India to respect life.
Veganism is not succeeding because its driven by liberal activists, not Dharmic values.
Like most activists, vegans too largely avoid talking of Dharma.
(2/3)
There's a lot of animal welfare activism,
including veganism.
They try to use logic and liberal values to convince people to not to exploit animals. But they aren't succeeding much. Less than 0.5% of world's population is vegan, & meat consumption continues to rise.
Why?

It is said: even after the elephant passes through, it is possible that the tail gets stuck.
You may have paid a big price for your inner freedom, and yet there is just something small that you remain clutching.
And all your sacrifice amounts to nought.

Spiritual ignorance gives us self-delusion.
Our heroes are people who brag of colonizing planets and moons. They teach that nature -Prakriti- is just a resource. One hit of a little virus from nature, and these heroes can't even go to the grocery store.

It is not a random catastrophe.
There is a clear cause-effect link here. Unless we are honest enough to call out the cause, we’ll be condemned to bear even stronger effects.
This external disease is a reflection of the deep inner disease of man's mind.

How to spend this time?
It's time to read stuff that should ideally have been read when you were sixteen.
Go to the Upanishads, to Rumi, to Hafiz, to Acharya Shankar, to the Dhammapada, to Kabir Sahab.
It is an opportunity to make up for the lost time.

We say there is pride in strength.
But there is greater and hidden vanity in playing the weak loser, a victim of life.
Weaknesses do the ego a great service.
And therefore, we deliberately ignore that within us which is too strong to be ever hurt.
