✨ITS OUR BIRTHDAY!!✨
On 20th November 2021 we will be celebrating our 30 year anniversary.
Plymouth Province RAOB are organising a dinner dance in support of Horizons at the Duke Of Cornwall Hotel and it'll be a black tie event, so penguin suits and posh frocks at the ready!💃
After a week of wonderful weather, our volunteers had the opportunity to get back on the water to prepare themselves for our busy season ahead. Fingers crossed for July 19th! 🤞 #sailing#plymouth#devon#oceancity
✨Girl Power✨
Well done to Pip and Liz!
We are pleased to say at Horizons our gender balance is roughly 50/50! 🎉
Here's hoping this continues into the future! 🤞
It always pays to be vigilant and prepared when on the water. #RespectTheWater is a RNLI national drowning prevention campaign. It highlights the risks, helps you avoid them and gives advice to keep you and those around you safe. https://t.co/fCnXeUgQgh
After a washed out week with no sailing, we are really looking forward to getting out on the water again towards the end of the week! ⛵️ #Plymouth#Sailing
Inspire Racing is coming soon to a city near you! Don’t miss your chance to get involved. ⛵️

Following the Government announcement last night, we will be keeping an eye out for guidance as it becomes available and let you all know our plans as soon as possible. We will post updates on our social media pages as well as text. Speak to you all soon, take care!⛵
With the clocks going back on Sunday, this is the last week where we will be able to offer after school sailing. Weather permitting; we are hoping to continue sailing on some occasional weekends throughout the winter. We'll keep you posted as much as possible. Take care! ⛵️
After a week of horrible weather, the last few sessions on the water have been lovely. Here we can see Victor, Jack and Otto doing a nice figure of 8 course. We are going to continue sessions further into the winter, so long wetsuits, rash vests and spray tops are a must!
We have had a wonderful first week back on the water. Unfortunately, Monday was too windy, so had to be cancelled, but today and Wednesday were perfect and everybody had a wonderful time! Looking forward to more great sessions next week!⛵️

We were very lucky yesterday to be presented with an amazing amount of money from the @FirestoneFreeze. On New Year's Day a large group of people braved the elements and went for a swim in Plymouth Sound. Thank you to everybody involved. What a brilliant event! 😊

Last night, the Cadets enjoyed a high altitude activity at Clip 'n Climb. This was an hours activity where it tested their strength, balance and determination! Well done to everybody for getting up so high!👍
On Thursday 6th February, the Cadets enjoyed an evening of Lego boat building. These were no ordinary Lego boats though, these were all singing and dancing floating, foiling boats!⛵️ Everybody had a wonderful time and we hope to sail them within the next few weeks!
On Thursday evening 23 Cadets enjoyed an evening of Snow Tubing and Tobogganing up at Plymouth Ski Slope. It was a great evening filled with lots of high speed sliding and spinning! 🍩
On Saturday, 12 Cadets enjoyed a morning of Rock Pooling at Wembury Beach. Although it was a cold morning, everybody had a lovely time and caught lots of different critters. The best catch of the day was a Grey Spiny Starfish! Thank you to @WemburyMarine for a brilliant morning!

For some, one triathlon is hard enough, but one of our Cadets is preparing for his second! Jack did his first triathlon in September and raised a brilliant amount of money for Horizons. If anybody would like to sponsor Jack, please see the link. GO JACK!🎉
