What is your recommendation regarding schools reopening? Parents are curious what your input is, @CoMo_HealthDept... I know many teachers that will have more than 20 students, a teacher, and an aide in a small room.
“Look for the helpers. You can always find people who are helping.”—Fred Rogers. Despite the struggle, thank you for always being a helper. @nicole_inclass ♥️
Teachers, dont just lean into the tough times this year but lean on each other in the tough times. When a goose fatigues or is injured, two geese will stay with and protect it until able to fly because they can return to group more efficiently together.
@nicole_inclass If we are in class or online, we cannot lose sight of building relationships. Social emotional health. & having FUN! That’s my biggest worry.
@nicole_inclass As a K/1 teacher I love, love, love Rivet. It is a leveled reading app that allows kids to read books on their level AND will read a word at the touch of a button.
@nicole_inclass Honestly, getting a teaching job here in CoMO. I had taught before, but after taking a few years off to have a family I really worried about if I would find a job right away. & I did. I love my school. Love my kiddos. Love my work family.
@nicole_inclass Watching that ‘one’ student who worked SO hard at reading, finally hit their magical moments of being able to READ. Also, seeing emotional growth in another student, and having her stay in the classroom more than the year prior. Hard work pays off!
@nicole_inclass 1. Finish my new/empty garden.
2. Finish my kiddos baby books 🙈
3. Complete a home project.
Thanks for another great discussion Nicole!

@nicole_inclass I am thankful for preschool. For real. My mental health was not in a good place during the stay at home order. Everyone is happier this week.
@nicole_inclass We were made for community. Living a life alone isn’t possible. I am such a homebody but crave a sense of purpose these past few days. I miss people. I miss kids. I miss talking to strangers at the store.
