@CoachBeard91@BallsAndBases@caden_mcleary "I will not admit i was wrong regardless of the proof in front of me" syndrome. Everyone thought it was good in real time, now they can't admit it was no good lol.
@creamcitymigu3l True, but packer fans attributing Henry's rise to Lafluer leaving Tennessee is incorrect. Henry said himself it was his own product that he needed to remedy. If he was actually that good from the start, other guys wouldnt have been outperforming him on that same team and scheme
@derek_razz@MatthewMKE98@relliK_booN Bears fans have pretty much conceded the only thing they care about is the packers losing and beating the Packers. They would rather see the packers lose than see their team win lol.
@ScubaMySteve@BroderickCrawf9 Rodgers having the same amount of rings as Stafford and he isnt above him on this list? Whoever made it isnt credible at all.
@thecheesebase Darnell Washington projected more as a purely blocking tight end to the next level. Musgrave was more of an every down tight end which the Packers needed more. The process was sound on this one, just the wrong player.
@WeAreMany7@87_delta@goudakunst I would argue it was the defense's inability to stop the run in the game that led to the blowout rather than the offense, which started to come more alive in the 2nd half. Blowouts only happen if your defense can't keep games manageable for your offense.
@WeAreMany7@87_delta@goudakunst And then instead of fixing those issues, look at what Gute did in the draft following that loss and tell me if it's coaching or the GM lol.
@WeAreMany7@87_delta@goudakunst Wide receiver was the main issue those years. Nobody aside from Adam's could get open and then the miners just doubled him all game until the pass rush got home.
@teal_andrew@Nfldraftregs Man this isn't an outlier. Gute has multiple seasons of ignoring obvious weaknesses on the roster. You're coping hard here lol.
@russsso@PackersNotes True, but he never showed a lot of #1 corner traits in college neither. He's definitely been good and is the best case scenario the Packers could have had for a Round 2 corner, but I don't think his ceiling is much higher than "Good #2 corner"
@powerfred3k@teal_andrew@Wisconsin_fam Plenty of lesser HCs have won super bowls, you don't need to have a "killer instinct" (made up buzzterm) to win it all. You're basically just using the "rings = better" logic.
@powerfred3k@Wisconsin_fam The issue has always been the FO with their outdated draft and develop philosophy, insisting on best player available instead of positions of need. People are asking lafluer to essentially make a road out of sawdust and get mad at him when he cant instead of looking at Gute.
@powerfred3k@Wisconsin_fam Gutekunst on the other hand has botched multiple offseasons which has led to one or more positions become depleted of their depth. Wide receiver, linebacker, corner, now OL? These issues are OBVIOUS going into offseasons and are ignored.
