A poster for "Carrie" from 1976 is visible after Rose walks out of the porn theatre. Sissy Spacek, who played Carrie in that film, was the first choice for Rose but was turned down because of her Texas accent.

Katee Sackhoff, who played Captain ‘Starbuck’ Thrace on the new “Battlestar Galactica”, was born on this date in 1980. She also appeared in the films “Halloween: Resurrection ”, “White Noise 2: The Light”, “Riddick”, and “Oculus.”

"Bad Dreams" was first seen in theaters on this date in 1988.

Director Andrew Fleming battled the MPAA over the scene where one of the characters is rammed by a car. It was originally much bloodier, but the U.S. ratings board threatened to slap the film with an "X" rating.
