@BethT79 I heard everyone gets denied the first time. Try again. The judge at one hearing told the person applying for disability that he didn’t believe their doctor. He said this before the hearing started. The person should have been able to demand a new judge and fire their attorney.
@wilsonhlthcoach Last time I went to the ER, (have insurance - insurance paid $9,866), I paid $1,800 and given a Loratab for pain after complaining of flank pain/high fever. Did multiple tests, chest x-ray, UA, etc. Never received antiobotics. Sent home with 102.5 fever. Won’t go to ER again.
@BethT79 Hope you stay safe. Holed up at work. Nice I work at a hotel. Think it’s very like we get 14 inches of snow from tonight into tomorrow. The fun will be going home in a few days…😊
Staying safe at work because it is snowing and been snowing all day. More snow tomorrow. Not sure how much we have now, but could be close to 14 inches tomorrow and more (if we get the snow the weatherman predicted).
@davidma26683929 My insurance pays a portion of the surgery. It’s coming up with the portion that insurance does not pay that is difficult. This particular surgery is $3,050 w/o insurance. With insurance, it’s more than $4,000. My portion, even with what insurance will pay, is $2,550.
I finally have a surgery date, in February. Unfortunately, the cataract in my right eye has gotten worse and I am completely relying on my left eye to see. I am, for now, blind in one eye. Also, surgery was quoted to me… a price of $3,050.
Every donation helps, and sharing her story can make a difference. Please consider supporting her journey to see clearly again. Thank you! [heart] https://t.co/Bq8FMMdpaQ
Here is to a New Year! May you experience more blessings for 2026. May the good outweigh the negativity daily. May we all strive to be better in 2026 - at a skill, in our job, in our attitudes, in how we treat others and ourselves. Break barriers in 2026! Love, Laura
@theBrianaMills The travesty with disability is most that really need it are unable to get it. It is easier for someone who already is able and o get insurance through the state or Medicare to get disability. Having to go to a doctor for each ailment is expensive (esp. if chronic conditions).
