If you want to encourage young children to water the garden, give them a selection of tools, including a water sprayer which is their favourite! They keep going for ages and you also get a break.
Harvesting and sharing food that we have grown in our childrenโs community garden. A 2 year old enthusiastically pulled up a huge chard plant instead of a leaf! Using scissors stopped the children pulling out whole plants. Snow peas and potato gathering were their favourites.
The children listened to Princess & the Pea.On the theme of peas they sang songs, shelled and sowed peas, made a collective picture using bubble wrap mittens & shades of green paint, played with a farm, made peas from playdough& made soup.Snack was pea & mint dip & breadsticks.
