Thank you to my Donegal friends for the awesome picture book recommendation for my final project and to Rachel @CTWeidenhammer5 for her genius hour ideas! #MULit19 and @aileenhower
I can't wait to use picture books in more of my lessons this year to teach writing. Although I feel a bit overwhelmed by all the wonderful ideas I saw today, I so excited to dip my toes in writer's workshop this year! #MULit19 and @aileenhower
I am loving the grammar focus this year! Teaching conventions is such a difficult topic for me, and I change how I approach it every year. I think the Patters of Power is going to be a game changer. Now the challenge I will have it doing it consistently. @aileenhower #MULit19
I am so excited to learn new ideas for my writing instruction! Last year was so wonderful, and this year is looking like it will be equally as good. I am already filled with ideas and excited to try them out. #MULit19
Holy fantastic speakers! I wish I could be in Jared Reck's class! If this was the writing was when I was in school, I think I would have started my own writing journey much earlier. #MULit18
I feel validated that graphic organizers are okay! In fact, I appreciated them with the writing we did today. My take away from this week is balance!#MULit18
Wow, emotional day today. I absolutely LOVED the ideas from Anne Schober. I am excited to get my own journal and her book, Writing Through the Mess, so that I can use it with students. #MULit18
Shawna said to do less assignment writing and more creative writing. Almost all of my writing is assigned writing. While I give students a choice a lot of time about what they want to write about, it is always for an assignment. I want to work on offering more creativity.#MULit18
