@SkliuUbc@GongR1ght I mean tbf those teams were also primarily immigrants and immigrant backgrounds and we still sucked. Hell even 86' was led by like Italians and slavs iirc
@Dysfunctiontime@mrgrozz Dickie Moore? The 2x Art Ross winner? The one who once held the record for most points in a season? First line winger on Stanley Cup winning teams? Considered by the NHL as one of its 100 greatest players?
Are you thinking about Dick Duff maybe?
@Kibilo2 Not always a rich man's sport. In Canada at least this is really a development of the 90s onward. Like Gretzky was the son of a bell technician for instance.
@JFreshHockey@johnnycakes91 Idk man, sure the instagram highlights are better, and sure there are more goals, but the goals make up what like 2-3 mins of game time? For me at least the full 60 minutes in terms of the flow of the game and how it was played was better and more watchable even just 10 years ago
@johnnycakes91 I agree honestly. I mean yeah in terms of highlights on instagram you can't match today's game, but in terms of the full 60 minutes... idk something about the flow of the game even just 10 years ago was always more enjoyable and watchable than nowadays.
@JFreshHockey Honestly some teams whites are just better than their 'home' jerseys. Ottawa for example has quite bland home jerseys all things considered.
@warren_hayes@JFreshHockey Not a fan, it almost seems like this requirement done just so they can call the Oilers a dynasty, or so they can call the 60s Leafs a dynasty.
@sweetannieod Dynasty is 4 in a row, last dynasty was the Islanders. No one truly refers to the 80s Oilers as a dynasty, there was an Oilers era for sure, but not a dynasty. I'd say blame Steve Smith for that, but Roy was on a tear that year.
@SensCentral Dear lord the Sens have way too many miserable fans.
Like whats the actual issue here? That they went to support their team?
Is it not possible for more of us to just be normal?
