@ArchLuminous@JackThompsonFOX They shouldn’t be eligible and/or be women for the sole purpose of basketball, like Royce White couldn’t even maintain a grift of being a woman entirely.
@ZingZongZang Pablo Torre did talk about the whole gambling scandal with Terry Rozier and others. Ironic cuz the gambling scandal showed how badly the NBA messed up investigating as they cleared him only for the FBI to arrest him a year later due to a lack of subponea power.
@Daddio_71@JackThompsonFOX Possibly, but that doesn't mean teams have to draft her because there's other things to being drafted besides talent. We see it all the time in sports. WNBA teams can just say we didn't select them because x,y,z are better fits or whatever.
@spainpnr That makes sense. The NBPA would possibly counteract any sort of suspension on Kawhi if there’s not a smoking gun for cap circumvention. Not even if there’s circumstantial evidence.
@hsojbook@ShortClipShorty@khrisody The Rhode Island soccer team that Kawhi was linked to released a statement saying they hadn’t been contacted by the law firm, which could suggest their lack of involvement. Also the Clippers originally stated how the allegations are provably false, so Daktronics statement is odd
@hsojbook@ShortClipShorty@khrisody Maybe, but from the wording from their crisis management person, he wasn’t sure what the company can say given the ongoing investigation. That would be pretty weird since before this reporting, Daktronics hadn’t been publicly linked to Kawhi or the ongoing Wachtell investigation.
@hsojbook@ShortClipShorty@khrisody The original point was about Kawhi’s sponsorship deals in general. Of course players can have deals, but when they are under the table and your boss is essentially funneling money to your “sponsors” even when they are about to go bankrupt, it’s fishy.
@dimedropper_LA Don’t you think it’s a little weird why a B2B would have a sponsorship with a player? Everything is circumstantial, but I wouldn’t discredit everything as attention seeking.
@DRPKING96@16dive@Baldg0d@hsojbook@khrisody Yeah that’s true. All evidence has been circumstantial. The only reason the Timberwolves got caught circumventing the cap with Joe smith was because that information was in writing. Although we haven’t seen anything like that yet, Ballmer has done this before with DeAndre Jordan.
