✍️How did Obama pull the wool over the world’s eyes in the deal with Iran??
As an Iranian, like all Iranians, I have always had complex and strange political experiences. But if I were to describe the strangest and most fruitless of them for you, it would be the day Obama stood in the United Nations hall, looked the world straight in the eye, and said that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful because the Supreme Leader of Iran has issued a fatwa on the matter!
The phrase “Supreme Leader” is the title that the murderous revolutionaries of Iran have given to the murderous leader of Iran. It is a phrase that is offensive to most Iranians like me. But the main issue is the fatwa! What is a fatwa? A fatwa is a Shiite religious decree that an Islamic leader issues based on the Quran and the words of people who lived a thousand years ago! My argument is not about whether Shiite leaders and Shiite laws are qualified to enter into a subject that directly concerns international security or not! My argument, as a former Muslim who knows Shiism well, is that Shiism is the only religion in the world that has sanctified and permitted lying and deception when necessary! Moreover, a fatwa is not a fixed law; just as it can be issued easily, it can also be easily changed or completely annulled by the Shiite leader or other leaders! Most fatwas have been like this and have been changed many times.
Why on earth did Obama rely on the words of such people with such beliefs and with that terrifying track record!? I am not going to discuss the financial and political value of the JCPOA for the Democrats. What matters to me is recognizing people and political groups and their logic. In my opinion, Obama and the Shiite leaders have at least one thing in common: permitting lies when it is expedient and beneficial!
