Today I would like to post a few comments about current events separate from our daily scripture break.

I look at the tumultuous political landscape in America and then I wonder: What is God’s plan?

It troubles me when someone admits a mistake publicly and they are eviscerated by people who never admit their mistakes or wrongdoing.  As a Christian, I respect the person who admits their mistake (especially publicly) and I have nothing but trepidation and suspicion for those who never admit their mistakes/wrongdoing.  As I study the Word of God more and more, there is for lack of a better word a chasm growing between believers and non-believers. Our Christian way of life is so alien to our cultural reality.  I believe God has ripped the veil from our eyes (since COVID) and it feels like all of our human institutions are factories of evil, and many are.  Look at what our institutions advocate - depopulation of the planet, eradication of God, worshipping technology to “do everything” for us, redefining what it means to be human, etc.

Then I think about the mission to evangelize the world; to faithfully proclaim the Good News that there is salvation through Jesus Christ. It is eerily sobering to see so many reject the call.  We have such freedoms here and yet we squander these precious gifts of freedom and choice and exchange them for a lie/evil.   Humans are incapable of choosing an abundant life of goodness, happiness, and truth without God.  It is not possible. To entrust your own survival and the survival of your family to the elites who are not a concerned about you or your family is very unwise (that's the Walt Disney version). Who are the elites? Those who think they know best for everyone and that we don’t need God.  That sums up all of the chaos from various quarters of life. God isn’t a Democrat or Republican.  He is the Creator of the universe and answers to no one. The other day someone commented that believers don’t have to be threatened by science. However, the underlying thought there is that it is possible for science to threaten God.  It cannot.  People need to understand NOTHING threatens God and everything that exists is because He is the Creator; God isn’t threatened by any idea or philosophy proposed by humankind.

So to fellow Christians out there who are not depressed but bewildered at the unimaginable choice to embrace ignorance, obstinance, malevolence, and cruelty of the world, please keep this in mind - endure until the end.  All you are witnessing is what will be cast into eternal separation from God. Should we continue to pray for our country? Yes.  Should we have confidence in our government? We should abide by the governmental authorities tasked to administer our government unless you are asked to violate your conscience. This is not our home. Be obedient to what the Word of God says.

Well let me explain it to you. Liberals/Democrats/Fake News Media did this. I started working at Palisades nuke plant in 1981. We had protesters at the gates constantly. Michigan's AG was an antagonist. Three mile Island accident was used by liberals and the media to spread fear of nuclear power all over the world. No one died at 3 mile island. The noble gases released all had short half lifes and natural sources of these gases dwarf the amount released. There was no measurable impact. But the propaganda machine took it and ran because fear sells, Americans we're ignorant and the news media had power to influence. Democrats, liberals and the news media almost killed the nuclear power industry in the US based on fear and lies.

Republicans need to show up in numbers. There were well over the act needed but they use a fng random sample of their choosing to decide. I was going to post this to our group but wasn’t sure if that’s allowed. I’m thinking perhaps you could. It’s in Lansing @ 10:00 to share your comments publicly.
