As an emt… hearing and seeing EMS workers that responded to 10/7 is heartbreaking. The amount of inhumanity they saw broke me. Seeing this knowing that my fellow siblings in EMS were doing what we all do before a shift- being goofs at times is more heart breaking.

I don’t think folks understand how stigmatizing it is to be labeled and treated differently because of a learning disability… I was 20 when I found out my family had a file on me; an individual education plan (Iep), was an am dyslexic…

I had teachers say both to my face and behind my back I’d be lucky to graduate high let alone go to college… graduated high school in 2000, college 2004.
