Council Member Kamin partnered with @UTHealthHouston and pediatric offices across the city to expand the #LockItUpSafe initiative, delivering hundreds of free gun locks and safes to families and gun owners—especially those with young children.
CM Kamin has allocated $60K to improve pedestrian safety at the intersection of Braes Blvd and N. Braeswood Blvd improving connectivity to the Rabbi Karff Bridge. 🚸

CM Kamin has secured a $220K pedestrian safety package along Ella at W. 22nd and W. 23rd Streets to Little Thicket Park in partnership with

The project will include an RRFB, pedestrian refuge through the median, new signage and striping, and a HAWK signal.
Informed by the data of #SafewatchHouston, Council Member Kamin and @HoustonHealth launched a pilot program bringing free gun locks and gun safes to 3 City health centers across Houston. 🔒
Whether it was launching major infrastructure projects years in the making like Turkey Gully and Beechnut drainage projects, or resolving something as simple—but meaningful—as a missed trash pickup, every moment has mattered.

These improvements will help connect students and the community to Pershing Middle School, Mark Twain Elementary, the Weekley Family YMCA, and the McGovern Library!
CM Kamin has allocated $277K in District Funds to improve pedestrian safety at Stella Link and Aberdeen, Bellefontaine, Blue Bonnet, and Underwood!
Each crossing will include RRFBs and curb cuts through the existing medians to create pedestrian refuges and safer crossings!
CM Kamin, @PrideHouston, and leaders from the Neartown SN announced their effort to bring back the Lower Westheimer Banner District. The application has been submitted, and $10K has been earmarked by CM Kamin. The design is now under review by the Mayor’s Administration.

Safer crossing coming soon near Meyerland Middle School in #DistC! CM Kamin is allocating $25,000 to add a new pedestrian crossing at Chimney Rock and Cheena🚸
The project will include new striping, signage, and curb ramps to create a safer route for students and neighbors.
#DistC is partnering with City Park TIRZ to construct a HAWK signal at TC Jester and Bevis with CM Kamin funding $70k! 🚸
It will also include a pedestrian refuge to better connect neighbors to Timbergrove Sports Park and the White Oak Bayou Trail. 🚴♂️

Council Member Kamin partnered with @UrbanHarvest Harvest and @HoustonISD Gregory Lincoln Education Center in Freedmen's Town to fund improvements at the school's Community Garden!
CM Kamin joined @cityofbellaire and fellow regional officials to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Cypress Ditch Regional Flood Mitigation Project!
This effort across cities and levels of government will bring flood relief to the Bellaire, Meyerland, and Gulfton communities.
