Why do we have a gap under public toilet doors?
For health and safety
Why do we get rid of the gap when toilets are mixed sex?
For privacy
What are we getting rid of by doing that? Health and Safety
Letter to the editor of the Irish Times that mysteriously didn’t get published:
Dear Sir,
In response to “Thousands attend transgender and intersex pride march in Dublin”
"Intersex" is not a medically coherent term. It's part of the queer activist lexicon and is expressly used to muddy the waters on the binarity of sex, the central goal of queer activism.
There are rare disorders that affect the genitals and the reproductive system, a very small number of which make it difficult to know what sex a child is by mere appearance at birth. This occurs in one in every several thousand births in Ireland, and is cleared up immediately by karyotyping. Meanwhile, many activists who claim to be "intersex" have conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (females with high testosterone levels), or gender dysphoria (a feeling that one's sex does not match one's social identity).
Surgeries carried out on the genitals of children born with, for example, an oversized clitoris or an atypical urethral opening on the penis are extremely rare, because their occurrence is extremely rare. These procedures are only carried out in Ireland after careful multidisciplinary consultation with professionals who are very cognisant of the cruel and barbaric "corrective" surgeries of the distant past.
Historically, it was thought that a child could be raised according to whatever "type" of genitals surgery could produce. This is universally known now to be nonsense, and it has long ceased to be standard in the Western world.
Repeating, without context, the queer activists' claim that the practice continues is an insult to Irish medical professionals.
In fact, the plea to end surgical interventions for genital ambiguities is cover for the central demand of queer activism: publicly-funded gender-affirming care for people who identify as queer based on "informed consent". "Intersex" offers scientific-sounding backup for this objective, but there is nothing scientific about it.
I was born 11 years before homosexuality between men was decriminalised by a Labour government.
I had parents who taught me that love is love and love between two men or two women is as valid as love between a man and a woman.
I cannot believe that in 2026 we have a Labour government - A LABOUR GOVERNMENT - that is bringing back criminalising same-sex attraction. That’s exactly what The Conversion Practices Bill before parliament is doing! It’s Labour’s version of Section 28 only much much worse. It’s deeply deeply homophobic.
I hope sufficient MPs and peers listen to the many representations being sent to them and amend or kill this evil bill.
I was obviously brought into the gender ideology fight because of women’s rights & women only spaces, but I genuinely believe that this is an issue that impacts everyone. Women’s rights are the canary in the coal mine and should have been listened to 20+ years ago.
Gender ideology attacks human beings at one of our most basic instincts: sex recognition. An evolutionary skill that is so instinctual, we don’t even realize the moment we’re acknowledging biological sex in every interaction we ever have, whether it matters or not. But it’s there.
Everyone should have the right to acknowledge a man is a man, a woman is a woman, a boy is a boy, a girl is a girl, and it’s impossible to change or be neither.
If the state can force you to accept men as women, they can force you to accept anything. Don’t let them.
“FWS is only ‘anti-rights’ if you don’t consider women to be entitled to any rights in law or public life. It’s a sad state of affairs that Amnesty has sunk so low as to defame prominent women’s organisations, including a rape crisis centre and support networks for abused wives and children."

@La_Riverain@CandiedOpinions@WingsScotland Agreed. @DC_Police. This individual was discussing being cuffed to a bed, in pain and screaming several hours prior to any reports of violence, injuries or murder investigations. Hours before.

McSharry claims “trans people are not hurting anyone.”
Self ID has enabled men in women’s prisons/refuges/sports, the erasure of sex-based language in policy and law e.g. people with uterus/chest feeders/people with a cervix.
Forced trans ideology in schools against parent’s wishes.
Ireland’s GRA was rushed with little debate & “under the radar.”
A Countess poll showed little support for pure self ID & only 17% agreed with the current law allowing birth certificate changes. Public opinion is more cautious than activists claim.
Gender affirming care isn’t “healthcare.” It’s body modification of healthy tissue (blockers, hormones, surgery) with weak evidence & risk of permanent harm.
Trans people have equality under the law. What they often lack is unrestricted validation of their identity at the expense of other people’s rights, especially women & children.
No one has the “right” to rewrite biological reality or compel others to ignore sex.
Sex is binary & immutable. Safeguarding must be protected.
This is 79-year-old Robert Thompson from Bray. Robert is completely blind, but until recently, he has managed to live a highly independent life with the help of his brilliant guide dog, Rhona.
But right now, Wicklow County Council is failing him, and the entire visually impaired community.
For years, the audible signals at pedestrian crossings across Bray have been faulty. Recently, things have gone from bad to worse. The critical audio signals that tell Robert where the crossing pole is (the "wait" sound) and when it is actually safe to cross (the "go" sound) have stopped working entirely on busy routes near his home.
"There’s no way I would cross that road without the sound," Robert says. "It’s just too dangerous."
To make matters worse, recent changes to the local Dublin bus network (replacing the old 145 route with the E1 spine) mean his usual handy bus stops are gone. Because the council has left the nearby pedestrian signals broken, Robert can no longer cross the street safely at his local stop.
Robert is now forced to get off the bus early and walk a massive, grueling 1.5 kilometers EACH WAY along a highly dangerous, busy stretch of road just to find a single working crossing.
Robert has contacted Wicklow County Council repeatedly. They have acknowledged his complaints, but they have met him with absolute silence regarding any actual repairs.
Basic mobility and safety should be a right, not a luxury. By ignoring these broken signals for years, the council is effectively trapping vulnerable residents in their own towns and actively stripping away their independence.
Please SHARE this post! Let’s get the word out and force Wicklow County Council to do their job, fix the audio signals in Bray, and restore safety and freedom to Robert and others who rely on them!

This is horrific. Autistic boy who needs a care worker to go everywhere with him, failed capacity tests and the @NHS STILL removed his genitals. People should be in prison.
In Denmark, a 27-year-old woman is charged with raping a 14-year-old girl. Completed rape. Vaginal, according to the indictment.
Stop for a moment!
The charge is completed vaginal rape. A person born female cannot commit that. The conclusion draws itself.
And the explanation is right there on the accused’s own social media: The person presents as transgender. Yet the indictment uses a female name, and the media reports “a 27-year-old woman.”
So a 14-year-old girl, who according to police froze in fear and could not resist, now has to read in the papers that she was raped by a woman.
The justice system and the media have one job here: to describe reality. Not the perpetrator’s self-image. When language bends to ideology, the victim pays the price. Again.
The case is being handled by the court in Holbæk, Denmark. We are watching.
Ireland wants to get Montenegro through the EU accession negotiations within the next 6 months. One of the conditions for accession is to introduce legal gender recognition. The bill has been drafted, and it's full sex self-ID. Montenegrins don't seem to be aware that this removes the rights of women and girls to sex-based spaces and services.
I'm going to Podgorica to tell them about it.
A woman has been arrested shortly before she was allegedly about to carry out a mass murder near Las Vegas.
Nowhere in the local TV report or article does it mention that the police state in the arrest report that this woman is actually a man.
"We just want to pee!"
"How about 3rd spaces?"
"No! We want to pee with women!"
"We just want to compete!"
"How about your own category?"
"No! We want to beat women!"
"We just want to be left alone!"
"Ok, we'll stay away from you."
"No! We want to be left alone with women!"
“I have applied to the High Court after the Full Federal Court dismissed the Giggle v Tickle appeal. I am seeking a clear declaration that single-sex spaces for women are lawful and that “woman” remains a biological category in Australian law.”
Me on last nights @SkyNewsAust 👇
A 17 year old girl offered a lad a lift. That's it. That's her whole crime. Being kind. He got in. Then three more climbed in after him.
FOR SIX HOURS, police say, they raped her. Over and over. Driving her round Sydney in her own car like she was a thing, not a child.
Then they dumped her back in the driver's seat and walked off like they'd done nothing. She's SEVENTEEN and she has to live with this for the rest of her life.
That's one of them being marched out of a house in cuffs. The only one of the four old enough to be named. The rest hide behind their age. They were 14, 16 and 18.
Listen to the family screaming at the police. Why are you arresting him. Why him. Shut your mouth, don't say a word. Not one of them screaming for her.
Here's what police say happened, because it's worse than people know.
Half five on a Sunday. Liverpool Westfield, southwest Sydney. A 16 year old she'd never met starts chatting, all friendly, follows her to her car and talks his way in and while he's allegedly attacking her, police say he's on a video call to the others. Filming it. Sending it round. Calling them in.
So no, this wasn't something that just got out of hand. They were watching, allegedly, before they even turned up.
He asks for a lift to a park. She says yes, thinking he'll get out when they arrive. He doesn't. Two more are waiting. A fourth pulls up in another car. And then, police allege, they took control of her own car and drove her round the suburbs while it carried on.
The detective leading the case didn't hold back. She said it beggars belief that men would act this way over six hours and then the line that sticks. In all those six hours, not one of them stopped and said to the others, this is wrong. Not once.
Six hours. Till half eleven at night, when they allegedly left her in the car and walked off. She rang a mate, who drove her to the police station and this is the part that should make people sit up.
That girl, after all of that, gave police a detailed statement over several days. The detective called it the strength of the victim. She is the reason they had the evidence at all. She handed them the case.
Look at the charges if you think it's being overblown.
The 16 year old on his own faces 24 of them. Nine counts of sexual intercourse without consent. The 14 year old, ten more.
A dedicated unit, Strike Force Dungannon, was set up to chase it down and they didn't rush it for a headline. They waited SIX MONTHS to arrest the two older ones, quietly building the case so it would hold.
The moment they knew they could throw the book at them, they moved. When they did, they needed the riot squad to get them out of the houses and none of it happened last week. This was December 2024.
That girl has carried it for over a year already. And it's only grinding through court now, in 2026. Still going. Still not done. She's still waiting.
She was kind for thirty seconds. They took six hours and the rest of her life for it. Four of them. One girl and over a year on, she's STILL waiting for justice to catch up.
That's the world we're handing our daughters.
So remember her. Because the system already wants you to forget and ask yourself what kind of country leaves a child waiting this long.
Every bit of mainstream media is entirely focused on the poor boys who are supposedly banned from sports (They aren't.)
Let's hear from the girls who compete in the 23 states that don't have protected women's sports.
A heavy weight boxer cannot self identify into the lightweights where he stands a better chance of success, or a mediocre 14 yr old identify as 12 to win the under 12s race. Or even an untalented but enthusiastic able bodied athlete identify as disabled to gain an advantage. It’s the whole reason we have categories in sport, to offer opportunities across society, fairly. Females are worthy of their fair sport. It’s nothing but old fashioned misogyny, a poor understanding of sport & anatomy, or simply virtue signalling attention seeking to suggest men in women’s sport is acceptable.
🚨🚨 This week, @AustralianLabor and the @Greens blocked not one, but TWO bills in the Senate to amend the Sex Discrimination Act, and restore rights and protections for women and girls on the basis of biological sex.
They know their position to allow men claiming to be women in female-only spaces, services and sports is indefensible, so they won't even debate the issue.
What an absolute disgrace.
Thank you to @OneNationAus Senator @PaulineHansonOz and @LiberalAus Senator @SenatorCash for attempting to restore safety, fairness, dignity and sanity to our laws.

Today you will read many sympathetic media stories about B.P.J., the male athlete who challenged WV’s law and lost at SCOTUS.
I’m guessing none will mention that B.P.J. defeated 470+ girls 1,400+ times (including a state title) and sexually harassed our client Adaleia (pictured) in the girls’ locker room. Sadly, Adaleia stopped playing the school sports she loved due to B.P.J.’s ongoing presence in girls’ sports and spaces.
But we’ll probably be lucky if those girls get even a passing mention—let alone a front-page photo.
This has been the pattern on this issue from far too many institutions of power. Boys’ feelings are the focus. Girls’ safety, fairness, and opportunity take a back seat.
I’m so thankful today that the Supreme Court reversed that pattern, acknowledged the reality of biological sex, and remembered the girls.
My name is Ella, I'm 17 years old.
I do long jump. I play volleyball. I go to school in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
When my school allowed a biological male into the girls' restroom without telling parents —
I went to the school board.
With my name attached.
In my own town.
I got bullied for it. Harassed online. Even some of my own teachers came after me.
I'm still here.
Because here's what I know:
The net in women's volleyball is set nearly a foot lower for a reason.
A biological male can hit a ball across that net at force that could seriously injure a girl.
And in track — all it takes is three biological males entering the girls' category
and not a single girl in this state stands on a podium.
I didn't speak up because it was easy.
I spoke up because somebody had to.
The Supreme Court is about to answer the question every girl in America is asking.
We're ready.
