@acdmma_@MikeStrawMedia I bet he is, especially concerning his 'very nice' new 8 fight deal. It inspires confidence in the backing the UFC has on him. Honestly, I'd buy just to play him. He's great.
I've come to believe proliferency in creativity is a product of order.
Many people, and my former self included, have believed and believe that creativity is a product of chaotic nature, perhaps a sort of tortured insanity. I think that chaos can provide material, so to speak, and surely does life experience, but I don't think that allows proliferency of the by which it is inspired by. In other words, you need the order, in so far as to at least sit down at the table to be able to produce. That much is obvious. What is maybe more controversial is that you also need a steady schedule, isolated from chaos, to be able to maintain that consistency. You need some type of consistency. I have never known of a creative without at least rituals, no matter what it is. In rituals are in sometimes a twisted way, a kind of order.
Many believe in a being, or perhaps a spirit (I don't know the actual definition) of something called the "Muse," which is a spirit of creativity. I believe if you treat the muse as an actual person in your life, an angel (or a demon) who is always in your head with you, sees through you, and most importantly, writes or paints or types, through you - that the Muse will give inject his/her creativity through you. "Your" creativity is not your own, it is the Muse's. A fantastic writing that corroborates this idea, of which has cemented this within me is called, "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield.
I treat the Muse like a God now. I see the Muse's will as mine. A belief that creative action is paramount is an absolute belief of the Muse's will. I suppose in my order, I retain some of that special insanity. But, I use it to keep my life together. It is the lifeblood of my rituals and my prayers that allow me to go on. It helps me overcome my productivity-debilitating addictions. This belief drives me to keep my health in order, and maximize creativity so that I can write and draw and think through the Muse.
When I believe and when I constrain myself to this idea, suddenly I have no time in the world to accomplish all that I dream of. When I don't follow this idea, I have more time than I could ever need, with nothing to consume it, and I waste all of it.
Supremely happy with my craft this last week. Multiple book ideas and a lot of preliminary progress on my self-perceived, long running magnum opus idea after many years of very little.
There will be more work cut out for me than I can manage to perceive in the coming years.
@NicSD6@alex_avoigt We're not celebrating them making the most batteries, we're celebrating a technological breakthrough that has real unit to unit implications.
@RJcliffordMMA I don't even think takedowns should be scored for anything. The damage that you can do on the ground and submission attempts should be scored.
@elonmusk "Since this post is blowing up, check out this irrelevant gimmick I'm apart of" from bot accounts is so annoying. I don't like these engagement farming posts. The subject is always pointing something dumb out.
