Daylight saving time was first adopted nationally during World War I to conserve energy. More than a century later, changing the clocks no longer delivers meaningful energy savings and has become an outdated disruption.

I voted for the Sunshine Protection Act to end the twice-yearly clock changes and make daylight saving time permanent.

Here’s the kicker. Mamdani’s self appointed committee is asking for an 18.2% raise for Mamdani and his elected officials.
