@netshrink Health insurance companies are rejecting applications from people who are taking medications for depression, anxiety etc. This is going to dissuade people from taking help. Pure rights violation by market players.
@tarun_sagar58 But that has never been proven. The EVMs are not connected to the internet, so cannot be hacked centrally. It will take hacking numerous EVMs individually to change the result of even a municipal election. How feasible is deploying more security during polling in India?
@tarun_sagar58 Is going to paper ballots really an option? We know how the ballots have been rigged numerous times in history. Instead of completely abandoning EVMs, shouldn't we call for a rigorous VVPAT verification process?
I wrote about why the downturn of storytelling in #GameofThrones also explains why it's hard for us to deal with Facebook, YouTube, AI, etc. The show was a rare beast: a sociological narrative in a world dominated by psychological/individualized ones. https://t.co/gxX5hsdH6I
@VidyaKrishnan Universal health coverage is absolutely essential. However, in the case of mental health issues, family and community play an essential role in recovery (see - community based rehabilitation). The dynamics of such systems should inculcate gender equality.
@sidmtweets This conspiracy of foreign NGOs overthrowing government regimes has been played to death by BJP. Congress wants to continue the same? Stop targeting activists. Start introspection. We what change. Not the same excuses and obfuscation.
@ShashiTharoor@realDonaldTrump You cannot blame BJP for the rantings of a 'madman'! His comments could have been taken seriously if he was a coherent sensible man.
@ngogoi98 We Keralites have a lot to introspect and act upon. The new generation has to be the one uprooting the conservative, bigoted and patriarchal voices from the mainstream. And the day we don't accept criticisms from others, we will be doomed.
