It has been a very fruitful visit to the Middle East and the Gulf region. We already have landmark agreements with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. We are also working with Jordan and Kuwait.

Rustem Umerov is currently in the region, continuing political-level negotiations – he reported to me today – and there are already additional requests from Bahrain and Oman.

For Ukraine, this is not only a matter of prestige and respect for our people; it is a very practical matter. We are exporting our system of protection, the skills of our warriors, the knowledge that our state possesses. And from these partner countries we expect reciprocal security engagement.

We have already agreed on opportunities to strengthen air defense, on the joint development of defense production, and on energy cooperation, including diesel and other critical supplies that we need right now.

Tonight here in Bucha, we are holding a night of remembrance.

561 civilians were killed here over 33 days of fighting and Russian occupation. Across the entire territorial community surrounding the city, more than 1,000 people died during that time.

Hundreds were shot by Russian soldiers, and the bodies of many lay in the streets and against walls for weeks, until Russia's defeat and the return of Ukrainian forces to the city, along with the global media.

And the name of this comfortable, prosperous suburb of Kyiv among the woods became a shocking symbol of atrocity and inhumanity, images that went around the world.

This is the church in the center of Bucha, next to which a mass grave of 67 bodies was found. During the occupation, people buried their dead as best they could -- like this, in a pit beside a church.

Every day I can see that church from my home in the distance, and every time, I remember how we were present at the terrible exhumation of that enormous grave. That's something I would want to forget forever.

A memorial complex now stands on that spot.

У ніч на сьогодні росіяни масовано вдарили по Одесі. Жодного військового сенсу, це суто терор проти звичайного цивільного життя. Було більше 60 ударних дронів у цьому ударі по місту. На жаль, багато пошкоджень. Серед обʼєктів, які постраждали, – пологовий будинок, звичайні житлові будинки, підприємства, портова та критична інфраструктура. Наші служби продовжують працювати й допомагати на місцях, де це потрібно. На жаль, станом на зараз відомо, що одна людина загинула. Мої співчуття рідним і близьким. Більше десяти людей поранені, і серед них є дитина. Були цієї ночі також удари по Полтавщині та Дніпровщині.

Кожен такий удар доводить, що Росія не хоче закінчувати війну. А отже, будь-яке послаблення тиску на неї небезпечне. Last night, the Russians launched a massive strike on Odesa. There was no military purpose whatsoever – this was pure terror against ordinary civilian life. Over 60 drones were used in the strike on the city. Sadly, there is extensive damage. Among the sites hit were a maternity hospital, ordinary residential buildings, businesses, as well as the port and critical infrastructure. Our services continue to work on the ground wherever needed, providing assistance. Tragically, as of now, one person has been reported killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. More than ten people have been wounded, including a child. There were also strikes overnight in the Poltava and Dnipro regions.

Each such strike proves that Russia has no intention of ending this war. That is why any easing of pressure on it is dangerous. And coordinated efforts to protect people and lives will help us, help our country’s defense and our diplomacy. I thank all our partners who are working with us and supporting our people. We are working with everyone to give our country more strength and more capacity to protect life in Ukraine every day and every night: our cities and villages, our infrastructure. Collective defense and coordinated action can deliver the most effective results.
